Newfold Digital - Stole my domain / charged me for a domain I never purchased
Original review updated Oct 09, 2023

Stole my domain by not letting me renew it. Then I had to buy it back from them at a huge mark up.

They also took advantage of the fact that they had my bank information and charged me for a domain privacy on a "free" domain they attached to my account that I never purchased nor knew about nor wanted.

(This was also done while they would not let me access my account.)

So far I have been able to get refunded for the domain they made up, but not for my domain they stole and made me buy back at an inflated price. My business's website is still down and the "executive response specialist" has refused to reimburse me the hostage money they demanded to get access back to my domain that they stole.

User's recommendation: Before you register your domain or choose a hosting company look up who the parent company is and make sure it is not "new fold digital" if it is- RUN and if they buy out the company you are using move everything somewhere else as soon as you can

Stolen Domain myself from them (Domain.com) same company. No customer service number that works just chat from another country.

No help.

I am hiring an attorney now with the money I don't have. You must sue.

I was ripped off by this company

I had an old website that was doing well and slowly gaining ground. Newfold digital was handling the SEO and things were progressing nicely.

Then all of a sudden in comming calls dropped off to zero and stayed there for a couple of months. This had never happened before. So I call newfold digital and they tell me that my website is outdated, that it is not user friendly or mobile friendly. That it is not ranking on google against newer websites comming out.

They basically said I needed a completely new website. So reluctantly I went along thinking well you guys are the professionals let's do it. Well here I am $5,000.00 some odd dollars later with a new website complete with their SEO package that is generating all of my new business leads from so far outside of my prescribed service areas that I absolutely cannot be even remotely competitive in my industry, (tree service) at those distances. So far to date I have had my annual earnings drop by a whopping 85% I am now thanks to newfold digital and it's affiliates struggling to keep my doors open for business.

By the grace of God and my long time customers I am eeking out a living and have had to devote a good portion of my now greatly diminished earnings to finding and contracting a new provider who has informed me that it will be a very time consuming process to undue the damage that these incompetent *** have caused. After consideration, I am persuaded that they purposely started dumbing down the SEO they were providing to make it look like the old website was at fault so they could bilk me on the new website package.

User's recommendation: If you are considering having a new website constructed to promote your company, I would strongly recommend you stay well away from these rat *** *** bag sheister, criminal *** After doing some research on newfold digital, I found that the company has changed names multiple times and is more concerned about stock buy backs and new corporate aquisitions than it is about serving their customers. I came to find out that they are in the habit of buying up smaller web hosting companies so that once a customer decides to cancel service and go in search of a new provider, he finds out to his dismay that they are owned by the same *** and under the same blanket of their ever expanding corporate portfolio of IT companies. It's like a shell game. Again I can't state it enough to steer clear of these crooked charlatans. They will rob you straight up. Do your own research and you will find their public reputation to be quite sullied. You've been warned!!!

I had a domain stolen from them (domain.com) locked out with no way of gaining access again. No customer service just chat going to another country. Always remember your attorney fee's will be covered once you win.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. The transfer process, which should have taken 7-10 days, took 22 days. Unnecessarily complicated.

Original review Feb 06, 2023
I have owned my domain name and used on my website since 1/13/2014.
On 1/23/2023 I requested this domain transferred from IPage to SquareUp so I could publish my new SquareUp website. My domain renewals have always been paid so no loss of service.
On 2/2/2023, I received an email from Weebly stating that my domain transfer had been successfully done.
HOWEVER, I still cannot publish my new website because Endurance International Group holds my domain and must release my domain for it to connect to my new SquareUp website.I have NEVER heard of Endurance International Group; had NO IDEA that they were a third party seller for domain names. It is impossible to reach them.
I have been on the phone and live chat for now 6 hours today..

I was scammed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Its been said that one of the most vulnerable of persons is someone looking for a job.

All types of vultures and scam artists are ready to pounce.

A case in point is T.W. who gained immediate credibility with me when he said he

was an SB advisor.

Many people know that the Small Business Administration is a legitimate

government agency and they dont charge for their services

T.W. used some of the jargon associated with SEO websites words like backlinks and Google Analytics that resonated with me as I looking for a way t take my website to a new level: i.e., make It earn money.

But T.W. was operating under false pretenses as he revealed in our second conversation.

He wasnt an SBA employee at all and he wanted me to pay him $2,000 for someone to help me with my website.

Just like that after 30 minutes of talking, he wanted me to give him 2 grand.

No 30-day trial, no interviewing the guy who would allegedly help.

No nothing. When I protested, the phone went silent.

Let the buyer beware!
