Bought a 5 month old puppy which was extremely fearful/unsocialized when received.
I bought an older puppy from Lisa Barber at New Zion Shilohs. I was told the puppy was still available even though it was 5 months old because it was a smooth coat (as opposed to a plush coat) and there isn't much demand for smooth coats. I paid for the puppy and he was shipped to me. When he arrived, he was EXTREMLY fearful of people... obviously, never socialized. He has been with us for two months now and is still terrified of everyone in our family. I never received the puppy's registration papers either... I was told I would receive them within a month. I have made multiple attempts to contact the breeder by phone and email and have received no response.

NEW ZION SHILOH SHEPHERD TOOK DEPOSIT & DID NOT RETURN IT
I called New Zion Shiloh Shepherd Kennel to inquire about getting a puppy the 1st of Aug. '13. Was told a litter was due mid-August. Sent my $400 deposit and as the month of August went on I started to become suspicious as I didn't hear from her. Sent several e-mails & finally got 1 response. She told me no puppies were born and to call her the next day to talk about another possible litter. I called and left a message and never heard from her again. Several e-mails & phone messages later I started asking for my deposit back. The Better Business Bureau has reached out to her several times and she doesn't respond to them either. I will continue to take other measures to get my deposit back.

NEW ZION SHILOH
Please note that Lisa Barber from New Zion Shilohs is actually in Fillmore, NY. At the top of this review it says Denver, CO.
I am all too familiar with Lisa. She had me send a deposit on a puppy to put a hold on one in an upcoming litter. She cashed my check and kept the $400. Never heard from her again despite e-mails and a certified letter.
Her phone rings endlessly and you can't leave a message. That was back in Aug. 2013.
Karma should be catching up with her soon. I believe she has scammed just one too many customers at this point.
You are not alone. New Zion has many consumer issues that remain unresolved at this time.
If you look at the Better Business Bureau website, you will find other folks' issues. These BBB filed cases were not resolved to the satisfaction of the consumer and/or the BBB.
