A complete *** show, because they know you have no other choice, the customer service staff u have to deal with on the phone display heightened levels of incompetence, A COMPLETE LACK OF EMPATHY & PROFESSIONALISM.
Because there is no feedback loop or option to advise on how *** the service and system is nothing changes.
I need to see who is responsible for them as they are a public utility, maybe I report them to the PUC?

Hello. Tuesday morning, we ran out of hot water.
Pilot light wouldn't ignite after many attempts. We need to talk to someone PNM Gas about what took place because of our not having any hot water. Plumber came and concluded we needed a new tank, which he installed at a cost of $3700. Pilot light wouldn't ignite.
He discovered there was NO GAS coming through! Plumber went out to the meter, and saw THAT IT WAS LOCKED! I really need to talk to someone about this. YOUR ERROR COST US $3700.
If we had the money, we would take you to court over this "mistake" by your team. The wrong meter was locked due to our neighbors having moved out on the weekend. Please respond asap.

Illiterate run cartel
These idiots shut off my gas after not transferring the utilities into my name. No heat, stove, warm water, or dryer until they decide to open on Monday morning.
It's below freezing the next three nights.
The state needs to investigate this company. They have so many complaints but we live in the third world cartel run state that does nothing but protect its own.

Bill too high
My husband and I have lived in this house for more than 6 years and never payed more than $120. Last bill was $212.00 .
We have kept the thermostat the same all these years.
So we are shocked to see this happening. The encrease is 100 % ???
Pay bill using credit card
As of today I still have had no response from New Mexico Gas Co
regarding the issue of paying bill using my credit card. I am also NOT able to call directly

Verified Reviewer | Santa Fe, New MexicoThey have poor customer service and ees are incompetent. They messed up my payment and charged me a fee for their errors.
The customer service rep entered my bank info. incorrectly and they charged a fee.
They say the bank returned the check but the bank has no record of them debiting my bank account.
She was incompetent from the get-go. Their website is a real disaster!!

NMGC billed me for a period I was not the property owner or renter.
When initially the front desk customer service clerk talked with us irrationally with no indication that she will help solve the issue, I immediately took strong action to directly communicate, in writing, with the VP of customer service about the issue and requested to resolve the issue. That gave me prompt and customer friendly response, and then after the front desk clerk also responded in friendly manner on phone.
Soon I got a letter from the NMGC that my issue is resolved. So, I have no complain as of now.
As long as the NMGC front desk clerks understand that the customer with any complain has to be satisfied as long as his/her complain is valid and reasonable, and promises to act to solve the issue, the people will love NMGC and their management. Namaste!
NM Landlords,
Yesterday (11/6/2018) I got a NMGC bill ($51.65) for a property I sold in mid-2006 for the period from Sept 2018 to Nov 2, 2018. The NMGC knows who is the responsible owner of the property for the period, and most likely he/she might have been billed also for the same. If so, then that would be an attempt to do double collection for the same bill from two parties. When I asked why I am billed when I am neither the owner nor the renter for the period, I was told this:
I sold the property in mid-2006 after vacating the renter from it.
While the property was rented, I have signed LANDLORD STANDBY SERVICE AGREEMENT with with NMGC, (I do not remember it.) Section II, paragraph G of the agreement reads this:
“This Agreement DOES NOT automatically terminate if landlord sells or otherwise transfers ownership of the property. Landlord will remain liable for all charges related to gas services in landlord’s name to the property until such time landlord contacts NMGC to terminate this agreement.”
The above lines unreasonably and illegally lay burden for the bill collection on me, a wrong party. Therefore, I have requested NMGC to revise this paragraph to say that if the landlord is not owner of the property for a period, he/she cannot be held responsible for the bills on the property for the period. If you are a landlord in NM, please press NMGC for the same.
I have requested NMGC to revert the bill, and charge it to the right responsible owner. If the bill is not reverted, I plan to inform the public here. Please share this with any NM landlords you know. Thanks.

Complaint
They turned my service off I called had a death in the family they CSR did not care nor wanted to hear, she told me lets get your payment so we can restore your service . I called back a second time the CSR was more compassionate and helpful.
I requested supervisor to call me which she was very rude argued with me and basically said oh well if you don't like it..
Pnm is so helpful nice and willing to work with you I think they should be sold out by them. The customer service is horrible and they need to be ran by better management.
Need new gas company
My gas was shut off with no prior notification and the reconnection fee was $70.00. Why is the reconnection fee so *** high?
NEW MEXICO GAS didnt even turn on the gas that day after paying that rediculous fee. I'm told i have to wait until next week now.
Seriously need new management and to change *** high priced fees. I already know this company is not going to resolve this issue so I'd rather spread the word since BBB will not allow me to post this on their website.
Gas turned off
I have been a loyal customer of GNM before and since their separation with PNM. I don't pay my bills on a certain day each month and sometimes pay them every two months.
These *** turned my gas off today! No prior notification on the door of impending shutoff. Just a notice on the door that they shut me off. If they had contacted me (phone call?), I could have easily paid them.
We all forget sometimes: it's human. Another *** money maker for this disgusting profit-driven, service not-so-much driven, poor excuse for a company!
Tried to submit and won't go; says I have to "enter at least 100 words." Gas Service Review
Came home to gas shut off that was 8pm it's going to be 29 degrees tonight I called the gas company they said there is nothing I can do to get my gas back on tonight this is not right for freezing weather
Poor Customer Service
New Mexico Gas Co. turned off the gas in our neighborhood so that they could perform service.
They said they would have someone there to turn it back on & relight pilots in the afternoon. Never mind people work. I arrived home to find a service tag instructing me to call their service number. I called and they wouldn't send anyone out to turn gas back on.
They said I wasn't on the bill so they couldn't help me. It shouldn't matter whose name is on the bill. THEY turned it off! Rude customer service reps.
No supervisors.

I got a TRULY OUTRAGEOUS bill from them. So much so that I know right off the bat it can't be based in reality.
