Very disappointed
- Lamb curry contained beef; beef not listed on the menu.
- Curry hotter than ordered; rice plain.
- Promo online prices; charged $14.95 dish, $2 rice.
At 8-24/25 I ordered takeout dish from New Indian's Oven restaurant in Marina Del Rey CA
Ordered Lamb Curry -$13.95 + basmati saffron rice (half portion) -$1.50. Prices according to recent menu on line on few different website - the same.
Charged $ 14.95 for dish and $2 for rice.
For higher prices they told, on line must be promotional, not current prices.
Evident lie.
Instead lamb meat it was beef, curry much hotter than I ordered and rice was plain. They do not have beef on menu, so mistake could not accrued and on the menu there is not plain rice either.
Evident cheating on more than one way.
This was third and the last time I ordered food there.
Firs time was several years ago - just after 12 noon, there been 3-4 people in this restaurant. I came for buffet - the food was not much tasty, I been somehow disappointed. The next tome after few years I ordered takeout some dish (don't remember what, but remember - it was also not much tasty).
Past another few years.
looking for Indian dish online I saw the new menu of this restaurant - looking very good, so I decided to try in hope it could be much better.
What a disappointment.
Later I have read on line reviews for this restaurant and I found a lot of bad reviews and the worst been from Indian consumers., but not only.
The complains for all times been mostly the same - bad food quality, not fresh, mistakes in orders and very bad service. All promised will never came there again and advise readers to avoid this place for all cost, so this is also my advice.
This is not professional and not honest restaurant.
Who wrote some positive opinions I wonder, any time there is only few people at the time, most never came back.
