Service does not return calls

Talked to service about alignment problems and asked them to give me an estimate. A week later and they never returned a call with a price. No way to do business. They talk a good game when you call them, but it ends there. This is not the first time they did this to me, but I can assure you it will be their last. When you buy a high end automobile like a porsche you expect great service. I had them do an alignment and put on two new Michelin rear tires. After four thousand miles the tires were down to canvas. Took it to a local garage who works on foreign cars and had him put on two new tires and align again. I was told the rear alignment was so far out its luck i got four thousand miles .

Transmission failure

I am writing about a catastrophic manual transmission failure that occurred in the middle of very heavy traffic in a construction area on Wednesday July 29, 2015. Ii had just picked up my 2002 Boxster from a service appointment at New Country Porsche in Clifton Park, New York and was 2 miles from my home when after stopping at a stop light I went to shift into gear and the gear shift went limp - like a broken bone - I could not move the vehicle or engage any gear. After pushing the car to the shoulder of the road, I called the dealership which I had left 20 minutes earlier and was advised to have the car towed back to the dealership. After many phone calls and considerable consternation the tow was accomplished. It was rush hour (5pm) in Saratoga Springs, New York during the height of our tourist/racing season and I am sure that this rather precariously perched shiny white disabled Porsche Boxster was seen by hundreds of tourists and residents. I have been a Porsche driver and owner since 1986 and have never had such a catastrophic failure happen to any of my previous cars. In fact I would have never imagined that such a catastrophic manual transmission failure could occur in a Porsche Thankfully, it did not happen at 75 mph on the interstate. This automobile has only 70,000 miles and has been meticulously maintained. I would like you to respond to my complaint and demonstrate some of that "responsibility" that you talk about on your web site. Thank you for listening. Dr. Frank W. Boxsters are ugly and slow cars. I laugh every time I see one.
