On October 23, 2023, I hired Nelson Masonary and Construction Inc to do some work around my home. He was recommended by a friend, so I trusted that he was reliable business.
The CEO, Nelson Alvarenga, began the work in October, however by mid January, he stopped showing up to complete the job. He did not return my phone calls or text messages, and I found out later that he was screening my calls and avoiding them. I have already paid for more than the the work that was done and when I requested some of the funds back so that I can hire a new construction company to finish the job, he refused/ignored my request. He also refused to return to complete the job and at the resent time, has ghosted me.
I am stuck with an incomplete project and without funds to complete it. Unfortunately there was no contract all was verbal agreement but I do have the cashed checks that I gave him.
Please intervene on my behalf. Based on our last conversation with the CEO, he gave the impression that he was untouchable and there is nothing I can do.
