This is the typical method Neil uses to delay while he uses money for other projects or legal issues he has ongoing. The white lies he tells are easily found if cross checked. Looks like you are doing that. Now that you are in a “contract” with him, he will use that to scare you by threatening “breach” or leins.

Be careful, document everything, and get his responses/promises in writing. He is being sued by the state and at least 3 others and seems to revel in it.

Hopefully the AG office will shut him down this time. another suite coming up in May with 15 people involved including myself - a WOLF in sheep's clothing. A true CROOK

The attorney general's office is pursuing a case against Neil. You should give them a call.

Update as of 8/17/17. Neil has agreed to accept a reduced payment to accommodate the quality issues, damage to my property, and items that were promised but never delivered.

Likewise, he has agreed to complete the remaining punch list items. Upon completion he will receive the remaining money owed to him per our agreed upon settlement amount.

Fascinating. Be careful because he did the same thing to me.

He will "start" that punch list and then demand to be paid before they are done.

Also make sure he doesn't alter the amount owed to him in anyway.

He is also now being sued (again) by someone in North Ridgeville. Oh and a criminal phone harassement charge in Portage County.

Follow up, day 72. Job still isn't done.

Neil refuses to address my list of (25) concerns which include damaged windows, trash not being hauled away, a dead lawn due to trash being piled on it for weeks, a giant crack in my concrete porch, and a small list of items that were promised in our contract but not provided. I have offered to come up with a number just to part ways, but he refuses.

What a nightmare! Thanks Neil.

Neil owns a house inn Barberton that he rents out... it was in his girlfriend's name but she "sold" it to him to try to get out of paying a bankruptcy... just so everyone knows

Regarding Neil construction why isn’t anybody suing Angie’s list and any other job getting co. Involved with Neil construction.

He is banned from most cities around cleveland but gets permits through other contractors. His license should be suspended if he even has one

I am speaking on behalf of Neil Construction as I am one of those who worked with him on this project and know the situation firsthand.

The babbling incoherent spelling of her statements are nothing but drunken lies.

The job was almost completed until the last 2 payments in which they refused to pay until completion of the job. That was NOT part of the signed agreement and in which case the piunnos breached their contract.

The job was immediately stopped until the second to the last payment was received. ALL city inspections were PASSED.

The couple interfered continuously doing their own work on the job site which was only not authorized but dangerous as well and were always in the way of the contracted workers.

The piunnos looked for ways to get out of the debt they owed Neil Construction by suing but they COULD NOT EVEN FIND A LAWYER to take their case. They contacted the police who knew they were dishonest and politely kept their file to humor them.

The truth is that Neil Construction has SUCCESSFULLY been in business for 37 yrs. Check his credentials on REAL QUALITY sites such as the BBB instead of this rag page.

Only an unscrupulous business would've changed their name. Neil has never changed his. I find it to be true for the years I've worked for him, that the ONLY people who are dissatisfied are the ONES WHO STILL OWE HIM MONEY.

Fortunately, there are many more SATISFIED clients of which you will never hear from. The sad thing is Neil paid all of us workers for that job OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET, while he lost thousands of dollars owed to him.

Haha, this is Neil Wolfe who is posting the response to the initial complaint. He is very well versed in using capital letters in attempt to prove his point.

Ignore this comment and look Mr. Wolfe up on the Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts Webpage and the Summit County Clerk of Courts webpage under Civil Suits. Additionally, look up his complaint history with the Ohio Attorney General. His article in the Scene written in 2013 also details his business practice and behavior.

These sites should provide sufficient information of why not to hire Mr. Wolfe.
