Literal highway Robbery

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They Charge you for times you aren't even driving on the tolls. They sit behind a computer and change the dollar amount as they see fit whenever they want, no consistency. Customer service is reading off of scripts, no compassion or willingness to help the customer. Traffic has only gotten worse since the addition of the 77 toll. SCAM

Y'all New Yorkers and Yankees think you got traffic problems, wait til you get down here...AND if you think yhe traffic itself is not a problem, wait til you BEGIN your move to North Carolina,, we started getting bills in the mail before we even MOVED here because evidently we drove in the wrong lane while house looking. I guess they expect you to squint and almost cause an accident by trying to read the fine print on their road signs while driving.

Such hypocrisy.

This purple state used to be known for decency and honesty. Guess the Queen city has fallen on hard times if she has to nickle and dime all her poor pions til their death.Dont

They continuously take your money and overcharge you. When you remove your payment info to do one time payments, they will suspend your account if you go below a replenish amount. EVEN IF THERE'S STILL MONEY ON THE ACCOUNT. They went from taking $65 to $85 to $230. Once in 15 days, they took a totally of $430 from my account. When I contacted them, the person I spoke to was very compassionate but I still only received $85 back. Unsure if it's worth it anymore. If you can avoid dealing with the pass, I would. They're scamming and taking way too much money from people.

Poor Back Office Management - Lacking Basic Accounting Skills/Software

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I believe I am at the point to where I'm developing PTSD every time we check the mail, anticipating ANOTHER bill. I think we're on # 4 or 5.

Currently, I'm disputing the latest for $2.77, which I already paid in April of this year. Somehow, it miraculously re-appeared as an amount I now owe, and NO ONE can explain why, just that it shows as a pending amount due and that I should pay it. If I thought paying it again would stop all invoices/bills, I would, hands down. With their track record, I'd just get another invoice in the mail 4 months later.

We have not used their tolls since Feb of 2023, and I can guarantee that we will NEVER use them again...! Sadly, some of their reps are kind and understanding and truly deserve to work for a better company.

Pros:
  • Toll lanes can provide quicker travel
Cons:
  • Horrible bank office resolution

Preferred solution: Resolution of amount owed to reflect as already paid in full.

For one year I owe 3,000$ that’s highway robbery!!

The charges from one exit to the next continue to rise. A complete rip-off !

No one should have to pay 3,000 per year for riding in the toll lane to and from work. Then they put a block on your tags, how do I get to work to pay nc quick pass???!!? . I hope I can get the bill paid and get back on the road.

In times where the cost of everything is so high, its very disheartening to see how this company works and will not work out payment plans or anything. In 2021 my bill was 700$. 2022 ****$ 2023 3,000$. If I making the same commute and paying at the same time each year, how is this possible?!?

Dont ride in the toll lane. It will cost

I'd bet they were on 77. The dynamic tolls are posted at the prepaid account rate. They can pretty much charge whatever they want and your bill is gonna be 35% more than the signs if you don't have an account.

Guest

Your post does not add up. You say you have been making the same commute and 2021 total was $700 and 2023 is $3000(I assume this includes projected toll till end of year).

That’s a 328% increase for the same commute and the same number of trips. There is no way! Go back and look at yearly increases by the state. Was 2021 less commutes due to Covid?

Also $3000 at a 50 week work year(2 weeks vacation) works out to $12/day. Six dollars each way to and from work.

What toll road? And where are you entering and exiting?

Paid bill showing that I haven't

This is the 2nd time I have sent this message. I paid the 1.65 already. I continue to get a bill which I knew I had already paid, I disregarded it. I was on highway 74 got on 95 just to get gas and there was so much traffic I saw a side road beside 95, so I took it. There was nothing indicating that that was a quick pass Road. I wouldn't have taken it! I don't feel like I should have to pay a late fee that keeps getting bigger. There were also businesses on that road. Do they have to pay when they use that road?

Paid bill showing that I haven't

I paid my bill. Continue to receive notices that I hadnt paid. So I ignored the letters, thinking that they hadnt process my payment yet. first of all I had no idea that I was on quick pass. I was on a side road beside 85. There was no signs indicating that this was a quick pass Road. If there had been signs I wouldnt have used . now my dollar 65 bill has turned into $43.

Illegal Practices?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Received the first bill ever for a debt they said was incurred in 2014. Statute of limitations on debt recovery in NC is 3 years. It has been 9. They're billing me for 70 trips and I don't even recall taking one. Meanwhile they've blocked me from renewing my registration. I'm living with cancer and about to go bankrupt - unscrupulous and illegal debt recovery practices are the last thing I need right now
