Way too much swimming

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Watching the Olympics was frustrating and boring in 2024, and I'm guessing most of them are like that. First off, the athletes don't get paid and the medals have gone from solid material to plated over the decades.

The Olympics is big money and these athletes deserve a chunk of it. My biggest problem with the Olympics is way too much coverage of one specific sport on national broadcast TV. No one wants to watch swimming for two weeks straight. Just figuring out the schedule was impossible, and even the broadcasters would announce a certain sport like skateboarding was coming up and never would, which made you sit there and stare at the TV for hours.

I'm under the impression that if you really wanted the full Olympic watching experience, you would have to go online and pay but let's be honest. That's just not nearly as cool as watching it on broadcast. But, out of a gazillion things to cover, you choose one sport like swimming to focus on for the whole freaking Olympic Games. You take something so freaking cool and then you make it into the biggest snooze fest the world will ever know.

The Olympic games just ended up being background noise in my household, primarily just listening to people swim. It was a complete waste of time and electricity. You can only watch swimming for so long before you get upset because you're not watching any other sport.

There's a reason I don't watch TV. It's because they suck at broadcasting.

Pros:
  • Its cool that most of the world can come together and have fun for a change
Cons:
  • Inappropriately boring for how much is going on in the olympics

Preferred solution: More diversity of sport coverages

User's recommendation: Unfortunately, I would pay to get better coverage of more sports

Blasphemous opening ceremonies to God

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Yesterdays blasphemous display of mockery of God was deplorable . How could you allow this to happen in the name of inclusion?

Blasphemy against God is the worst of all sins.

The runway show was horrible!!! The Last Supper Depiction was extremely blasphemous against God.

You never would have considered mocking Muslims, Jews etc. but its all hands on deck to do so against Christians, especially Catholics.

Isnt it ironic that all power went out on Paris after this program except for the church on the hill to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

I ask for a public apology from the IOC & its president, Thomas Bach.

I am also going to boycott watching these Olympic Games. It should be about the worlds athletes and you harmed this!
