I received a notice from ABC financial that I owe 63.00 and a service fee for April. I did cancel my credit card and made multiple attempts to contact Nazareth Powerhouse.

I did get in contact with someone and they would not except a cancellation over the phone they wanted it sent to 6007 Main Blvd Bath Pa. I also was billed for the full month of March. I do agree with Michael that we did receive massages, but we were told that phase 2 would be done shortly after they opened. Supposedly, the hold up was Lower Nazareth township.

If you look at their advertisement on the internet, you can view their promises. I went to Bath looking for the gym, but could not find it.

I spoke with a police officer who told me there is no gym in Bath. They are aware of the problems with this gym and gave me the number for the attorney general to file a complaint.

Just checked out the BBB and big surprise, the Nazareth Powerhouse Gym & Fitness Center's accreditation expired 3/19/2009! I guess they knew what they were doing!

Well, now they won't have any complaints on file because it expired...without any complaints.

I knew this would happen eventually. Did anyone notice that the machines were never bolted to floor or that a permanent sign was never mounted to the outside of the building.

Back in October 2008, there was a printed letter from Mike to talk to him about getting our member rates reduced because they were running a new promo rate. Well, I tried almost every day to get my membership adjusted and after two months of trying, I gave up; which is what they hoped I would do.

I can't see how you can be charged $50 to terminate a membership with a business that is no longer at the location it was when you initially signed the contract. I would call my credit card company and contest the charge from the Gym. Credit card companies usually side with the customer, not the business. At best, they will stop charging you until this matter is resolved.

I do believe the Gym to be a member of the Better Business Bureau, therefore you can make complaints against them. I hope all of the members stick together and file a class action lawsuit against them. This is horrible!

Found out that the this gym is moving to Bethlehem and is still calling itself Nazareth Powerhouse Gym. It is a smaller facility - so I can't imagine what it is going to look like.

This place is a scam. Do not sign a contract with them. They are always trying to make a quick buck. They send out an email to notify the gym members that they finally won their lawsuit so now they can fulfill their end of the deal - to improve their current gym.

Found out this week that the gym has to move because the landlord did not renew their lease - well I think Susan has it right - they are not paying their rent - so the landlord kicked them out. We can get out of our contract if pay them $50. They are misrepresenting this contract. Better Business Bureau will be hearing from me.

We were lied to a month ago when we renewed our contract by Mike the owner. I would not give Mike any of your bank information - it looks like this may be the end of the road - and lets hope so for dishonest businesses like this one is!!!!

I agree with Susan - this is the same way that I found out about this gym moving. We renewed our contract on 2/7/09 with Mike (a.k.a.

crook) told us that they will be finally completing the gym. What a crock of you know what. When I first notice the sign, the morning crew said it was up for two weeks - Mike told us it was up for 3 days with no word to it's customers. We tried to get out of the contract due to this move, but we have to buy out of it for $50.

They move to a smaller facility that was built for retail and not for a gym. I hope the ceiling holds up for the people in the gym.

This place is a shame. DOH should be called in.

Powerhouse should be ashamed of themselves. You got in over your head now you got evicted for not paying rent in 6 months.

Wow, looks like the promotions really worked.

So now you move the gym to a smaller building and your way of telling us is posting it on a piece of paper in the gym. No mailing was sent out, how cheap is that.

It is sad to see complaints posted when no member has complained to management about any of these issues. First - tanning and massage has been available since the day we opened for charter and standard members.

Second - no one was ever given a time line as to the opening of phase two in the gym. Third - why would someone complain about their gym rates going down.

Promotion help new members as well as the current members. BTW - I'll take that bet!!
