Verified Reviewer | Klamath Falls, OregonRidiculous ID policy
ID policy constitutes to harassment of customers yet could result in alcohol for minors!!!
If you go to check out and there are more than on adult standing at the check register. So let's say your spouse or any other adult for that matter, they will demand ID from both or all of you, even if you are clearly in your 60s.
On the other hand an adult checks out with minor children standing there, maybe up to age 20, not a problem they will only ask for the ID of the adult!
How is this protecting anyone let alone prevent alcohol being provided to minors? I do not object to providing my ID if I am the one making the purchase but this policy is absolutely harassment and needs to be chaned.
Preferred solution: Change in policy.

Your website is useless
Spent 20 minutes trying to find your website with search for information on store products. Called nearest store 3 people could tell me anything about any website.
They knew nothing. A manager asked for example of a product then said he'd tried to look it up.

Verified Reviewer | Lakewood, ColoradoBad Customer Service
I was shopping at the Natural Grocers store in Denver Colorado at 38th &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Wolf St. I picked out several items that I can't find at other stores.
I have been a good customer for 42 years.
As I was waiting in line for service the checker ordered me to pull my mask up over my nose. I said no I will not do that as I have a medical condition and not supposed to wear a mask. She informed me that this is a private corporation and we can demand me to pull the mask over my nose. I refused and she told me to leave and would not ring up my purchases.
This tells me that customers who have a medical condition are not welcome to shop at this Natural Grocer store. What made it worse was the tone that the employee used treating me like I was a criminal. She needs to be taught some customer service skills before she cancels any more sales. The woman was in her 30's or 40's with straight blond hair.
It was Saturday the 6th of March at about 1500 hrs.
(3pm)
I expect to hear back as to the action taken. I will also post this complaint on social media.
If you have a medical condition don't shop here.

Verified Reviewer | Sedona, ArizonaDemand customers wear masks
In Sedona, AZ store, where I've shopped for years since they opened, they are now demanding customers wear masks, with the excuse "this is private property, we can deny service to anyone we want". This after telling them I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask.
I have shopping at Whole Foods, but I will take my business over there now. I hope all businesses that feel they can dictate whether people should be able to breathe, go out of business.Shop at whole Foods

Verified Reviewer | Pueblo, ColoradoPueblo Store Rude Employees Don't Touch The Empty Bin Boxes
8-18-2020 I went in to the store where there are two bins of boxes, usually overflowing on to the floor, and picked up 7 small boxes smaller than a shoe box. Very small boxes.
A white lady with short white hair came running up shouting those boxes are for customers to put their groceries in not for anyone to just come in and take.
She shouted this loudly and everyone up by the cash registers checking out could hear. She "allowed me taking 7 small boxes". I am a 15-year customer and will never return to this store I will do all my shopping from now on at Whole Foods in Colorado Springs. There are no signs stating that these are for customers only the day you go in and buy groceries or ask management before you take.
Also, this store "bags" groceries and you can also bring in your own.
In 15-years I have not seen any cashier go get boxes to "bag groceries in." They have lost me as a customer over some small boxes. I will tell my friends not to shop here either.
Then I received this generic email from customer service.
Thank you for reaching out. Im sorry to hear about the experience you had at the store. It is true that we cannot give out boxes as described but I apologize for how it was addressed.
We are a bag-free store so we need to save those boxes for customer purchases and we do not supply them to customers for other purposes.
The Crew Member at the store was following policy.
We understand that there may have been past circumstances where they had extras and wanted to help, but we cannot continue to provide boxes for purposes other than to box purchases. We do have customers who use those smaller boxes for their smaller orders.
We appreciate you contacting us to discuss, but Im sorry for the circumstances that prompted it.
Have a great afternoon,
Rachel

Discrimination
I came into Natural Grocers in Spokane, Washington looking for a product that is hard to find at other stores. I have a medical exemption that inhibits me from wearing any type of face covering.
Legally, stores are required to accommodate anyone with a disability. They refused service to me, and I asked to speak with the manager, once the manager came he threatened to call the cops without hearing my reasoning for not wearing a mask. This is called discrimination, no establishment can refuse service to me because I have a disability.
I will be going back to this location to serve an affidavit to those who discriminated against me. Please vote with your dollar and boycott Natural Grocers if you believe in equal rights.

MASK HARASSMENT
Shopping in Ogden, Utah Natural Grocers today was told I would NOT be checked out without wearing a mask. Such a sad state of affairs when a Natural "Health" store is not focusing on true immunity, which is an inside job of diet and lifestyle.
Mask mandates are not laws. The tyranny must stop!
Preferred solution: Consider the tyranny actions of the Governor, and critically look at the data. This is a nefarious agenda and you are participating. TheHealthyAmerican.org
Does not allow medical exemptions for masks
I was told their policy changed so any exemptions to masks had been done away with. The insta cart services they provide instead is not equal access and is discriminatory to those without technology
- Great food
- Extreme mask requirements
Preferred solution: Drop all Mask requirements
An employee at Natural Grocers named (Kyra C.) with blue/green hair. Klamath Falls Oregon
This employee was very, very rude to me at her register, regarding my mask/shield.
I have never been treated so badly at this store, ever!
Everyone in this store has been very kind to me. I think she should be reprimanded.
I take my shield off so that I can "see at the register key pad" and I also have asthma...at this store every time from all of the other register employees they've never had a problem with me doing that.
I have to ware glasses, as well, so that I may read the key pad.
She made a big deal about my putting on my mask back down in to my face.
She was absolutely very rude.(Kyra). I would not even complain about this person, but I have been totally embarrassed from her actions/words. And this is not the first time she has did this to me.
I also have seen other customers in the store walking without a mask/shield on or half way on or not at all, so that they can breathe
Treating people as if they have some kind of disease. I am a bi-weekly, customer and have never, been told to put my shield down especially, when I am trying to read the ingredients of some food products.
I respectively, abide by the store policies when I do come into the store.
But if I have to pull my shield up to read store products It's my right.
This way I know what I am buying or want to buy.
However, I will continue to shop at this store, because, I really like all of the employees in the store. They all are of great help to me in any given situation for which I may need.
But, for some reason this young girl most definitely seems like she is the only one that has a big problem with me. I have minded my own business in this store. I just feel totally embarrassed by her actions in front of the other customers and I am really upset about this situation.
No more said about this. I do hope that there is some accountability about this. People shouldn't have to feel like they have some type of disease when is this ever going to STOP?
