I have been trying to cancel service for four months. No one returns my emails or phone calls and now their contact number is temporarily unavailable. This is the worst company by far that we have ever dealt with.

been there done that. how can you cancel when they can't (won't) be contacted?

The number to call gets you to a $200 card for $1.99 scam. They say once you say yes, they will give you the number to call. That number is the number to 'information'! What a joke.

The first time I called the number I actually spoke to someone (they said) from NSA. After I said I wanted to cancel my service, the phone went dead-they hung up on me!

Unprofessional company...no communication or follow through

There is NO communication from company. They will not return messages left on cell phone or work number.

I have called, texted and emailed and no one responds. I have been waiting for more than a month for them to fix improper install. I am paying monthly service for alarm with thermostat but now my heat won't turn on and I'm freezing because of improper install. Camera took 5 visits to install.

There is always an excuse of why they can't get the job done. They never come when they say they will. Nightmare.

I have never worked with such an unprofessional company. Do not use them!

Nationwide Security Alarms Customer Care Review

Their reps came into our homeowner association which has posted NO SOLICITING signs.

THEY STILL KNOCKED ON DOORS SAYING THAT IT WAS A SALES CALL AND NOT SOLICITING. Get real!!!

They also stared asking person question that a robber would like to know - so i shut the door on them to obey the NO SOLICITING signs.

Run Far and Run Fast from Adam Buhl and Nationwide Security

Add another to the long and growing list of disgruntled customers who have had nothing but problems with Adam Buhl and Nationwide Security (or whatever name they're going by today). Every response defending this guy/company appear to be from Adam. I have dozens of emails from him (each with a more miserable excuse for his failures than the prior), and the writing style and grammatical errors are spot on.

I don't know that Adam intends to be dishonest; he's just a horrible businessperson. He doesn't deliver on commitments, his follow through is terrible, and his communication skills are a joke. Seriously, the service (or lack thereof) from Adam and this company are among the worst I have ever experienced.

As if the service wasn't enough to upset me, the system itself is garbage. We've had nothing but problems with the control panel, which routinely triggers false alarms because the keypad doesn't work properly. On the very rare occasion when a customer service representative does respond through the panel (1 out of 10 times...maybe), they will say the alarm has been cancelled, and then the police walk in the door a few minutes later (saying that nobody cancelled). I've been charged for this twice.

Adam's billing system is non-existent. You could previously pay bills online through an account portal. Then there was some sort of service provider change and invoices must be emailed. They do not arrive with any regularity or on any schedule. You will go for months without hearing anything, and then one day the phone will ring and Adam is in a panic and talking about how he sent invoices but nobody responded. We retain all emails for a rolling 3-year period. How can every other company get their emails through, but not Adam? The new email invoices, when they do arrive, direct the customer to some janky online checkout, which I doubt is secure (no verifiable SSL certificate).

Fair warning to everyone..... What these upset customers have posted is not made up and it's not from a competitor, as Adam would like you to believe. I have plenty of emails that I will gladly share with anyone so you can judge for yourself. Run far and run fast from Adam Buhl and Nationwide Security.

Adam Buhl and Nationwide Security Alarms did a great job with my system I cant believe someone wrote something bad about them all the other reviews I read on other sites were good reviews except this one so for all the nice stuff they did for me I wanted to at least give a good review on here for them, so I wanted to let people know that it is not true and that me and a lot of friends use their service and they did a great job so they must be mistaken. Look how nice they install camera no wires showing I love so much, Watch the video and you will see.

NSA--Nationwide Security Alarm--Yorba Linda, CA

BEWARE!!! Adam Buhl is a *** artist & liar. We have 2 alarms systems with our home & business and have had NOTHING but problems since the beginning. The alarms are faulty and malfunction on a regular basis. One of the main problems is the alarm goes off for no reason & the police are sent out. Every time the police are sent out we are charged hundred of dollars (for no fault of ours, just that the alarm is malfunctioning).

When we call to try to get our problems resolved, we have yet to talk to a human at Nationwide. We have left countless voicemails and have never been called back. After many texts and unanswered phone calls to Adam's cell phone, he finally texted me back one day. Adam said he was going to "take care of things" and also said he would add a note to our account that says "DO NOT SEND POLICE". Well, I can assure you that the note is not working, because again today, the police were sent out 5 different times! Again, we try calling Nationwide, Adam's cell phone, text, etc. He refuses to respond.

Also, he isn't "taking care of things" and has texted me "it's not our fault, another alarm company must be sending the police", which honestly doesn't even make sense because we've never ever had another alarm installed at our home or business.

The minute you sign the contract, they wash their hands of you. Payment is sent to "Time Payment", which is another saga in itself. They have sent us to collections, even though we provided them with all of our account and payment information. I have a very good lawyer that I'm getting involved, and will be taking this company to small claims court at the very least. I am also reporting this company to the BBB. We are in a 5 year contract with supposedly no way to break it.

I have NEVER had WORSE Customer Service in my life.

This is a fraudulent review and our company has found the identity of this "anonymous" individual her name is Summer Weaver, and we have now served her with papers to take her to court. We will go to the fullest extent possible to resolve this as this type of online defamation of character and personal attack on individual are not a joke they are illegal, hurtful and will not be tolerated.

We have happy customers and we do what it takes to resolve anyone's issues but there will always be competitors that will use dirty tactics online to try to destroy our reputation. We can give you references of many happy customers in your area that we have served over the past decade that you can call and get a real review of our service.

Beware, Adam Buhl is a scam artist

Adam Buhl is a scam artist. H will not complete the install, will not return phone calls, and claims this is a family business based on the east coast (totally not true).

H has me locked into a 5 year contract and debits my account monthly... yet I don't even have a functioning alarm! Contacting BBB, FCC and my lawyer immediately. Adam Buhl is a scam artist.

People like this end up in prison. Harsh to say, but you can't do shady business and except to never get caught. Feel bad saying it but it's true. Wish I would have done more research on Nationwide Security (nsaprotects.com) before doing business with them!

Apparently I'm not the only one that has had issues. I'm not surprised!

Adam Buhl saved me from my old alarm company!

Adam Buhl came by my house to sell an upgrade to my alarm security system he told me everything would be free and everything would be a lot nicer with a smart phone app for my alarm system. I feel kind of bad because I haggled with them wait too long but Adam Buhl told me he could keep me at the same rate and give me a lot more features like I wanted.

For all the trouble he went through to get what I wanted I thought the least I could do was write an online review for him!

He seemed like a really nice guy but I was kind of nervous because it seemed too good to be true but Adam actually follow through and Matt with NSA was our technician and he was so nice he even worked on a problem I had with my garage door remotes for free.

I would definitely recommend Adam Buhl and Nationwide Security Alarms to any of my friends and family! The alarm.com app really is nice too.

I agree Adam Buhl did great he was the representative sent to our business by NSA systems and he thought outside the box to find ways to give us a good deal. It's been really helpful for our business and Was way better then the old ADT alarm and the app is nice. I would like more then 30 user codes but hopefully they come out with something some day for that.

Nationwide Security Alarms and Adam Buhl scammed me!

Adam Buhl arrived at my house in Newport Beach and was incredibly charismatic (first red flag). He promised me that my house would be secure and practically gave me everything I could ever wish for in a security system, for FREE! He told me it would take 1.5 hours to finish the installation.

This turned out to be the worst mistake I've made with my new home. The installation dragged on for weeks -- literally, for weeks! He eventually stopped taking my phone calls and I could not reach anybody at Nationwide Security Alarms. He took my money but did not finish the installation. I call to cancel but get no answer. NSA continues to auto-debit my account though! After doing more research, I found that I am not the only one.

If you get a phone call from Adam Buhl or "NSA", Nationwide Security Alarms, HANG UP AND RUN (714) 235-**** or (855) 473-****!

Not true at all, Adam Buhl has always taken my calls and I almost did not get service because of this review but there were really good reviews on Yelp and my friends have their service and recommended them so I thought I would give it a chance so I called Nationwide Security Alarms anyway and when Adam Buhl came out to my house yes he was really nice I agree with you, and he stayed a lot longer at my house then I thought talking about random things but when I asked Adam if he took money from someone on pissedconsumer in Newport Beach Adam said no and showed me his Eagle Scout card from Boy Scouts and said he would not steal from anyone he is honest, kind of cheesy but whatever and I ended up getting what I was supposed to get.

Now I realize how that this person who wrote the bad review on here has to be lying about what they are saying, I mean saying to hang up and run away when Adam Buhl or Nationwide Security Alarms calls I agree with what Nationwide Security Alarms says below that this person must be working for another alarm company or something its weird to put Adam Buhls cell phone number on there. Just ask Adam Buhl or Nationwide Security Alarms for references of people in the area that would be the best way to know the truth.

This is defamation of character of one of our employees and is illegal and is completely not true. This is obviously a competitor who is saying this to try to hurt our business.

If it was a real customer they would have called us and we would have taken care of them. We have plenty of references of customers who enjoy our service that we can give you in each city please call our office if you want them.

I have to disagree. I am another person who has had a terrible experience with Adam Buhl.

He is not timely, he does not return calls as promised, he drops the ball before the entire business transaction is complete, and he never even gave me a copy of my contract, even I have reached out to him several times. I have had my system installed for a couple months, I have been double billed by NSA, my monitoring has not been properly setup. Communication is always the key. If Adam or another associate would simply call me and explain what is happening and what they are doing about it, all would be good.

But nobody from NSA has contacted me, but they draft money from my account.

I had to contact Alarm.com to look into this matter since Adam/NSA will not contact me.

Next steps will be to contact FCC or whoever governs the alarm dealers. This has all been borderline fraudulent behavior and a terrible experience.

I work for NSA in the customer service department. We are not sure that you are one of your customers because you have not try to contact our office.

If we figure out who you are so that we can help you. We do not double bill customers so if this has happened we would definitely like to figure out how that happened so that we can rectify it. It appears that the main purpose of this post is to say bad things about the sales rep. We are currently investigating all of these "anonymous" users that have posted on this site.

But after investigating it appears to be the same person "Summer Weaver" posting as different people online. Do not believe these statements they are not true, if you want a true review please contact us and we would be happy to provide you with recommendations from long term happy customers of ours as that have been very happy!

The responses from Nationwide Security epitomize everything that is wrong with this company. Has anyone seen a response from Nationwide that says, “I’m sorry you had this experience….”?

How about, “How can we fix this?”

No; instead you see a string of excuses, attempts to say it’s a competitor posting these experiences, claims of defamation, and comments that nobody has tried to contact them. Seriously?

Every post describes an experience similar to my own. Maybe if Adam and the “team” at Nationwide would stop making excuses and start keeping commitments, there wouldn’t be so many upset people sharing unhappy experiences online.
