Worst Move Ever

1 review 1.0 star rating 3/9/2016 I've never written a online review of anything, ever. But this.... I just felt I had to. I am a retired military member who has been moving her whole life, but this was the WORST move I have ever had. EVER. The drivers showed up at my apartment an hour late; didn't have the packing materials the needed AND USED MINE, had no idea why the "driving" packet had been mailed to me and didn't know what to do with it...the list goes on and on. My customer service rep who had been working with me told me that there was a "window" for my things to be delivered--around two weeks, which is just ridiculous; however, she assured me my things would be in my new location in about a week. Like an ***, I took her word for it. My things didn't just take two weeks,, but was actually LATE because the driver didn't want to deliver on the LAST day that they had to deliver, i.e. the last day of the window. He was watching a football game and was drinking. Awesome. After was all said and done, I received a link to a survey that didn't work. I was told I would get a working link. That was a week and a half ago. Haha, fat chance! My things were broken, the service was terrible, and National Van Lines made moving to my dream city a living nightmare. I would give this company negative stars if I could. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do not use this company!!!

Stuck in empty home half way across US with 4 kids

National Van Lines was hired to deliver our home furnishings and basically everything we own to Austin Texas from Fullerton Ca. They picked up our goods on time, however they were supposed to be delivered today or tomorrow, and here we are in Austin waiting for the delivery in an empty home with 4 little girls...and no delivery, in fact, our truck full of our entire life sits in a warehouse in Anaheim CA with no driver assigned to it at all and no projected date to receive our belongings, so we'll be sleeping on the floor and living out of a suitcase. The company after many phone calls today believes that they can now tell us that we MAY be able to receive our shipment around July 8th....MAYBE.
