Unprofessional Installators, rude clerical stuff
I would like to share very unfortunate experience with carpet installations.
First of all we chose " Home Depot" for the name which suppose to be reliable. Sadly it is not.
We chose 3 types of carpet and made an appointment for measurement and trial of colours at home. The measurer came, he was very nice but had no samples.
Ok. We went back to store since we had only " Generic names" and no pictures ( why did we need them if samples supposed to be brought?)
Back in forth to the another 2 times to the store since whatever we chose was discontinued item with no indication of it. ( Why discontinued items are still on the floor?)
The day of the installation came and 2 , than another person came to the door. Only one was working, another was on the phone almost all day long and third one did not work at all.
The name of the company " National Installations", tel 705-728-****, Barrie
Instead promised 8 hours they were more than 10 and did not finish because did not have enough carpet.
That was a blow, yet, we had no choice but set up another appointment which was a little difficult since representative I spoke with all over sudden became less available.
Yet, 6 days before second appointment I called again to confirm that workers will come and entire flight of stairs needed to be done.
I was told by very affirmative by Lynn that it is only 3 stairs. I insisted that one flight was not done at all . Eventually she checked records and agreed.
The second appointment day was arranged. I took a day off, waited as it was said from 12 to 2 pm for the installers.
When time was over I called to "National Installations" and asked where the workers. After 15 min waiting period I was told that :" Diana suppose to call me around 9 am to reschedule an appointment since Home Depot send a wrong carpet" . They offered me contact to Diana , instead I wanted to talk to the manager.
I already found a replacement at work and giving a short notice would not help. Even a curtsey call was omitted and nobody informed us.
Yet, we prepare, removed some furniture and covered another which was not on a way. Preparation takes time and it is disrespectful to treat customers like that.
But most exiting is to follow. I was given number 1-84*-770-**** and name of the person to contact Michael. I was very annoyed so called in an hour given myself time to cool down.
A lady answered my call and she asked me who is Michael.
I explained and she transferred me to another one ( Janet) who first of all I could not understand a word she was saying and secondary when I asked for the manager she called me rude. That is very new to me customer service and when I kept insisting to talk to the manager she simply hung up.
I do not want to deal with the " International Installations " any more.
Preferred solution: Price reduction
