Professional transaction
The only one thing to improve was that they could have explained better how the market movements can affect the offer. In a stagnant market, it is realistic that you will receive a lower sum than an estate agent will tell you. Apart from that, they do what they offer.

Avoid NHB at all costs.
After a long discussion about the service we paid the money and agreed a sale price providing the current tenant could remain in the property. The estimated completion date was never anywhere near correct and after 5 months of answering questions already answered.
Receiving paperwork already completed and delay after delay, they renewed their offer 25% less than the original.
I am sure that their business ethics are to find desperate sellers and then delay things for so long they are in a position to accept a much reduced offer out of desperation. I would trust Del Trotter to be honest before this comp[any.
National Home Buyers Total Scam Do not use them
I have a property valued at £300k by 2 estate agents and wanted a quick sale so went to National Homebuyers after seeing their advert on TV.
They asked for an upfront fee to cover valuation but I refused. They phoned back the following day to say "our directors like your property and will proceed without the upfront fee". They offered me £240 which I refused so they increased their offer to £245 plus £1000 for legal fees which I accepted as needed the cash urgently for another purchase.
They provided the offer in writing and then sent 2 estate agents to value it. They came back to me and said they were reducing their offer to £225 which I very reluctantly accepted. They then took over a month to process via their solicitor and on the day of exchange they phoned me and said they were reducing their offer to £200k. Fortunately, I was in a position to tell them to put their offer somewhere where the sun doesn't shine.
It is my opinion that this is their strategy. They prey on people who are desperate for a quick cash sale (why else would you go to this type of company) and then delay things until the seller is really desperate and has incurred legal fees and has no choice but to accept the reduced offer at the last hour. In my opinion, this is unscrupulous practice which takes advantage of people who are already desperate. Once it had happened to me, I googled them and find that this is very common practice for them. Trading Standards needs to investigate these people.

National Homebuyers - House Review from Chesterfield, Derbyshire
I too was scammed by NHB with the same M.O as every other review I have read. They suggested an upfront fee of £99, our house had just been valued at £140,000 by a local estate agent NHB came back with an offer of £101,000.
I refused that offer they came back with £110,000 of which we accepted of which we got in writing. To cut along story short after accepting their offer they got it valued themselves and then offered us£70,000. I gave them some choice words and refused.
It cost me the £99 plus £150 to my own solicitor. NHB should be looked into by a governing body they are a money, time wasting organisation and that animated guy on their advert should be wearing a mask.
Tried to Rip Me Off
I rang National Homebuyers to buy my property, after several questions they made me an offer of £95,000. My property had been valued at £125.000.
I haggled with them and got them to increase the offer to £100,000 which i thought was fair for both parties. I accepted the offer and started proceeding. They sent a valuer who told me that they would use his valuation to try to drive down the price. As i had not started legal work i wanted to find out from National Homebuyers if this was true.
I rang them and they said the valuation was CLOSE to what i had given. I then agreed to start the legal work which they had chosen the solicitor.
Once the legal work started and they knew i was liable for costs they changed their offer to £75,000. I then withdrew and was forced to pay legal costs to THEIR solicitor.
I feel that i was setup on purpose.
National Homebuyers scammed me out of £99
I need to sell my house fast. I chose National Homebuyers as they said they were the biggest but charged a refundable valuation when you sold to them. They originally quoted me £495 for a valuation but then agreed to £99.
They said that a HICs Surveyor would value my house!! I had the house valued by an estate agent just to check the accuracy.
They sent me an offer for my house without even leaving their office... based on valuations from 2001-**** and comparing it to houses completly different to mine. Estate Agents valued at £180 000. National Homebuyers valued it at £139 000 offered to pay £97 000. Do Not Pay The Valuation Fee. Its a Scam!!!!
