Booking ref S959398 booked with Althams 13 new market street Blackburn we went on a coach trip to Oxford festive market and downtown abbey. Traffic was so bad we arrived in Oxford at 3.30 after leaving Blackburn at 9am to say the festive market was good was a joke only about 20 stalls not at all Christmassy we later looked on the internet and found the market had been cancelled in July.
Why did national holidays do this trip. On the way down our driver said we would get an evening meal at the hotel but of course this was extra payment we booked a meal for 8 pm and had to order at the bar. There was one lady taking drinks orders and food orders. There was one paper menu which was passed along the queue.
Eventually we went into the restaurant and it was an hour before any food was brought. The lady on the bar was the waitress and also the receptionist was a waitress The service was diabolical with many people walking out we complained but no one cared. We have been with national holidays many times and it has been great. This was like faculty towers hotel You need to change this venue as no one will use your company.
The hotel was the campanile Swindon. I got card and the manager appears to be. Mr Jordan Rose. I really feel we have the right to compensation as the trip was fairly expensive.
Our trip to highclere the next day was good. Hope you will look into this with speed.
