False advertising

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Ad says seniors born 194*-196? $150,000 life for $15 per month.

Never any such policies noted. Also says--"see rates" and no such thing--just forward to another insurance company and start process all over after entered all data.

THIS IS *** and misleading to seniors and a waste of time.

Horrible result

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Agent called and said he couldn't help with what I wanted. Next a woman appeared at my door to make appointment.

Then returned the next day at set time. While I was getting her water she took pictures of my desk with my driver license and a paper with my ss on it. I saw her so I took a picture of her driver license and got her phone numbers too. She left in a hurry saying she couldn't help me.

Today I spent all day contacting police, banks etc. and I'm not finished yet.

What a nightmare just to change a policy. Never again!

Sorry for the difficulties which those who shared had to experience with NFI....right at the beginning they ask for month day and yr of ones birthday ...just for a simple generic quote...initially all they need is ones age ...not the month day and year....they appear to be scam artists

yet another company that pays spammers to send out their unwanted spam to thousands of ill gotten e-mail addresses. NEVER choose a company that advertises in this manner.

what do you think THEY will do once they have your address. they will tell you they are not responsible for 3rd party spammers.... however..

they are not doing it for free. I keep a list of companys I will NEVER do business with once I see a spam ad with their name.

Conflicting contract language and sales materials

My father bought a Cancer policy from National Family Care Life Insurance Company. The sales brochure and the policy language specifically stated it covered confinement in a hospital "as a result of cancer." After paying faithfully for over 20 years, Dad was diagnosed with cancer on his liver.

He had some surgery and NFC paid the stated daily rate for his hospital confinement as expected. Unfortunately, the treatment was not successful and he returned to the hospital for a week or so of treatment for pain, nausea, dehydration, and other complications of the surgery, as well as treatments in the form of IV administration of the only drug known to be beneficial for the type of cancer he had. After stabilizing him, he was sent home to hospice care where he eventually succumbed to the disease. However, NFC refused to pay the $1000 or so for his final hospital stay because they said his confinement was for symptoms caused by cancer, but not for cancer itself.

They rejected the administration of the medication he was given, saying it was for treatment of symptoms, and not for the cancer itself. While the policy and all the sales literature boldly stated this was a policy that paid for hospitalization as a result of cancer, buried way down at the bottom in the fine print of the contract in a long and complex sentence there was language that said it did not pay for any other sickness or incapacity caused by cancer or cancer treatments. The sales brochures had the exact same exclusion sentence in much bolder print, but omitted the part about not paying for sickness or incapacity caused by cancer. I will not describe the pain this caused my mother following the loss of my father.

It was an insult in her time of mourning and financial need. She really needed the money and just could not believe this company would not honor their commitment to pay. The $1000 claim would have represented only a small portion of the premiums they had paid over the years for this policy. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

The sales materials used during the presentation included only a part of the exclusion statement and omitted what eventually turned out to be the company's justification for not paying this claim. In addition, they refused to accept evidence from NIH documents that the drug he was given is "clearly established as an effective treatment..." for his type of cancer.

We complained to the State of Texas Insurance Commission, but they told us we would have to hire a lawyer, which is not feasible, given the money and distance involved. My advice for this or any other company selling this type of policy: Read the fine print and if anything sounds like it could be interpreted in more than one way, do not do business with that company, regardless of what the salesman or brochures say.

Does not sound right that Nat Life would not honor what the representative stated..................GO AFTER THEM....

Guest

That's why the company SENDS you a copy of your policy so you can READ it and know what it will or will nor pay for

True there are sales people out there that do not explain a policy well but it is also up to,the purchaser to know what they are purchasing

Guest

Jerry Linebarger is a piece of trash who spews false faith and lies to sell insurance. Beware.

File a complaint to the Texas Department of Insurance and your attorney

Guest

You have recourse, file a complaint against both the agent and the insurance company. This should not go without punishment. And you need to help get this guy out of my industry.

Guest

I didnt buy from his company but long story but he took 10,500 from me saying was for Godly works ect

It sounds to me as though you are now remorseful for giving him the money that had absolutely nothing to do with the insurance company for which he works, or worked.

I would like to offer a bit of advice: do not slander this man because you could be the one on the end of a lawsuit. Judge not, lest you are judged.

What a sorry company

I paid monthly premiums for about 10 yrs to a company called National Family Care. I was never late and they were always extremely polite when i had billing questions or when i changed home address.

The man who sold me the Term life insurance policy is still working for the company to this day. Except that when he sold me the policy he forgot to mention the fact that it didn't collect cash value and when i was lied off i tried to cash in my Non existing whole life policy i am appalled by such a liming company.

If you feel you have not received the benefits in the policy, you can contact your State Insurance Commissioner's office. If you are due cash from the policy, they will help you collect it.

Guest

Maybe you should have asked instead of just assuming. It's called due diligence.

Not when they are the professional and you are researching they havectge knowledge and should provide full disclosure. Once I was to the point of finding g out if I qualify and heard their long list of 3 party sharing for 20 months I rather research other companies
