Again, Again AND YET AGAIN.

I was repeatedly told time and time again that I had yet again must return to my doctor with more forms. One more than one occasion the forms were identical to the prior forms and yet they wanted my doctor to fill them out hoping he would add something else to them.

Sometimes it would be less than 2 or 3 weeks before they requested me to go back agin to get more info.

My doctor obliged them by filling out the forms yet again, but nothing was any different. The N.B.A. was now getting on everyone's nerves.

As it was extremely difficult for me to get there, my husband had to take time off work to take me to the doctor's office (this can be verified by his employer) and then we had to find a place to park in an area where parking was slim to none just because they wanted more "info" to try and boost the amount payable by the government. The more the government pays the more they get.

Finally, I got so ticked off, I called them and cancelled my file because for all the good they were "supposedly" doing for me was nothing more than a vicious circle to improve the bottom line payable from the government and therefore their commission so I decided I did not need them anymore. I also called my doctor and told the staff not to give out any info to the N.B.A. and then I called the government and had them remove the N.B.A. from my file.

NOW, I have a letter from the N.B.A. that states I must pay them or they will take legal action.

Apparently, I am not the only one who had to deal with these tactics from the NBA. I talked to a gentleman here in Calgary one day while waiting in line at a clinic and he too knows the routine.

There is also a similar account here on line at Pissed Consumer.

NBA kept wanting me go go back to my doctor time after time after time to have him keeping adding new info to my claim. I became very annoyed with them

There is no "new" info to be added to my claim so therefore my doctor could not do anything. He originally wrote what the problems were and that was it.

The National Benefit Authority was trying to get more information to be filled in so they could get me more money which........... OF COURSE......... gets them more money.

If one calls a tax preparation they will only charge you like something in the neighbourhood of $27.00 per tax year where as the NBA has big balls and want to take 40% of your settlement.

I finally got so darn annoyed with them (the NBA) I fired them and I will finish it on my own. At least from here I can to talk to my doctor and the government without being +
