Nahoku

upscale jewelry store in Hawaii caters to customers in person, but when buying items over the internet, this business does not value their customers whatsoever! I had purchased several jewelry items and made it clear when purchasing that I wished to buy one piece of jewelry but since jewelry needs to be visualized to be appreciated for quality and style, I would return the other pieces.
When I received the items I realized that they were grossly misrepresented on Nahoku's website, so I returned them in accordance with the website's published 21 day return policy. I was still not deterred as I did intend to buy a nice piece of jewelry and had placed a subsequent order and to my great disappointment found again these items were grossly misrepresented online and were significantly different than pictured, so I returned those and placed another order. I was contacted by the Vice President and told that any further orders would be "final sale". I was appalled to say the least!
I don't know what company thinks they can do business over the internet saving hundreds of thousands of dollars on brick and mortar stores and commissions and salaries and related expenses but does not want to deal with the hassle or expenses of returns! I wrote back expressing my views and dissatisfaction stating that I was a loyal customer and wanted very much to purchase from their company, but it was difficult without a physical store nearby since the items I was receiving were significantly different in person than they were pictured online! They have refused to change their position. This is not only unethical, and bad bad business, but I believe it is a violation of the law and discriminatory as their return policy is advertised, but then they seem to retract it at their whim whenever they feel they do not want to be bothered with customer service!
I buy jewelry and expensive items all over the world and I own and operate my own internet business and in my 25 years of doing business I have never encountered a business that has been more unprofessional. I spent $150 in return fees to Hawaii which didn't bother me at the time because I thought in the end I would have a piece of beautiful jewelry, but now I have nothing and won't buy something from a company that won't stand behind their merchandise!
