I have read a lot on people complaining about NACA, many of the same people pursue it (myself being one of them) - why? because final result is sweet (or going to be sweet, in my case) - i mean, i will be closing with 0.0625% interest rate, no closing costs, no PMI and will be paying monthly mortgage of the amount at 15-year fixed rate, that some of the people i know are paying at 30-year fixed rate for the property that is less expensive than...

To one of the comments above, I'm glad to hear that you had a good experience with them but I was in the program from December of 2015 until August of 2016, and I felt that it was a complete waste of time. I have over a 700 credit score and I was diligent about turning in my documents. When I finally gave up on Naca I was able to get approved for an FHA loan and we closed in a little over a month on a 5 bedroom, 2.5 bath home in a nice...

Finally closed on my Naca loan (Cleve office) after nearly 2 years in the program. Moved in 2 weeks ago. Lovin my new house. Trust me never did I think I'd be the spokesman for sticking it out. Considering I changed counselors twice and nearly quit 5 times. It is real. As skeptical as I was that this day would ever come. It did. Recieved 2.7% interest rate on a $180,000 house. With no money down I had almost $10,000 saved to use furnishing my...

I've been involved with NACA since May '15. I wasn't as active as I've been the past couple months and really wanted to get this squared away. I wasn't in a rush and fortunately lives with family. I've been really trying to get to the finish line and really was hopeful my counselor was taking me down the correct path...not the case, I digress. She (Deborah Brown) wouldn't contact me unless I contacted her. Not to mention it's months after I...

In 10/2011 I attended the NACA solution and with the proper paper work in hand they were able to successfully stop the process of my foreclosure. It was due to foreclose the Monday following my Friday appointment. Needless to say we wanted to fulfill our responsibility to our mortgage and home but with the predatory loan we were stuck in it was our last of the last ditch effort to save it. Leaving there after sooo many hours, leaving there we...

My fiance' and i have been in NACAs housing program for going on 2 years. Just like everybody else that ive read its been ***. Worst customer service ive ever seen. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. Being repeatedly lied to and strung along . Just months and months of constantly submitting the same documentation over and over. Being given any & every excuse in the book for why we're not ready yet. We are on our 3 counselor, none of them...

I started trying to work with Naca 12 months ago. I have been through three housing coordinators, lied to multiple times, had many failed promises, and told that documents were received then told a day later that the same person did not get the documents. What a waste! I was told that I needed $4k to pay for closing costs, and that I was not saving correctly. I have saved $30k to put down, which they had documents to show. My neighbor who is...

Anonymous NACA can be difficult to deal with at times, but if a traditional lender can't get you underwritten for 2 years, I would venture a guess that your credit is screwed.

Appears they are more interested in issuing its members an action plan than devoting the service necessary to get folks through the process. Is it true they don't have dedicated processors and closers to assist the loan officers? This is unheard of in the mortgage industry. I finally gave up after it became obvious that my multiple counselors didn't have the time to follow up with me. After you first meet with a counselor, it appears that they...

I have been involved with 35+ single family home real estate transactions. My experience with NACA was a joke. I honored the contract when I was told that they pride themselves now on closing within 30 days. The buying agent made us believe he had an existing relationship with NACA and would fly right through it. I had to sign four extensions by the time it was over. The communication was ridiculous. With each extension, all parties involved on...
