Avoid Brickstone Drives and Patios Ltd: A Costly Mistake

I've waited until now to write this review because I've been extremely upset and angry about my experience with this company. I hired Brickstone Drives and Patios Ltd to clean, refurbish, and seal my large driveway for a total of £1,750. The job took two days, and I paid in full on the final day, as everything initially appeared fine; the surface was still wet and looked decent at first glance.

However, once it dried the next day, I was horrified to see how poorly it had been done. The finish was patchy with very little paint coverage in some areas. It looked awful. Then it rained the following day, and I was left with large puddles. When the water drained, it left behind collections of dirt and grime, a clear sign of shoddy workmanship.

I contacted the company and spoke with Mr. McDonagh, the owner, who initially promised to return and fix the issues. Unfortunately, that was the start of a long string of broken promises and excuses, from 'the lorry has broken down' to 'I'm unwell today.' Despite numerous follow-up calls (I lost count), no one ever returned to make things right.

In the end, I was left out of pocket and disappointed. I looked into taking legal action, but the cost of the Small Claims Court and the uncertainty of recovering the money made it an uphill battle I couldn't afford.

Bottom line: Do NOT use this company. Their guarantee is absolutely worthless, and their customer service is appalling. Save yourself the stress, time, and money.

Scam trader gave false information

Had no trace online of company name, . no reviews, registration or company number.

Gave incredible and inconsistent information that was unbelievable, although they were obviously good at lying

Pressured for fast payment of a sizable deposit, I was expecting a visit to be made to view the job.

None made.

When the 'trader' was questioned on telephone and asked to give details, gave a name and hazy address that tied in with the name address and post code of a serial fraudster that was found in news reports on line. I did not pay him any money but could easily have done. As it was a trader website

more easy to believe people are who they claim and honest. Website impossible to report on.

No response from admin.Beware if you are not convinced, walk away.

Website takes no measures to protect and monitor. Very cynical.

They have been stealing money out of my bank account since August last year, a total of £388.80 and today another amount is being deducted from my account. I cancelled all their subscriptions after one month and turned off all notifications from them.

In the beginning, they hounded me to take the free monthly trial but I quickly found out that their appeal methods after getting job notifications were contradictory. You can't return the credit once they send it to you.

I don't understand why I can't call them to complain and cancel this, but they can keep taking money from my account even though I am not doing any business with them. Such fraudsters!
