MyIQ - Misleading site
Updated by user Mar 03, 2026

As of March 3rd there has been, unfortunately, no response from MyIQ.

Updated by user Feb 22, 2026

Use MyIQ only if you are planning to take out a subscription as well because they don't bother responding when you unintentionally find yourself with a subscription.

Updated by user Feb 08, 2026

I won't take anymore IQ tests.

Original review updated Feb 07, 2026

I took their IQ test which cost 3 dollars. Fair enough, that was clear.

However, a few days later I received a notification from my credit card company regarding a deduction of 29.9 dollars for a monthly subscription with MyIQ. I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THAT.

I immediately canceled this "subscription" and demanded a refund. So far there has been no response

Loss:
$30

User's recommendation: Don't use MyIQ unless you know you want to subscribe as well.

Unauthorized billing for subscription

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - I subscribed after a $1 IQ test and was charged despite my instruction not to pay.
  • - The only contact number was for a similarly named company.

Company subscribed me, somehow surreptitiously, when I took and paid for their one dollar IQ test. I consider this fraud, and instructed my bank not to pay it.

I had to get a new credit card, which they also managed to charge. The banker suggested that I call myiq, but I couldnt find their correct phone number.

The only phone number I could find turned out to be the number of a similarly named company that claimed nothing to do with myiq.

Now they have attempted to charge my second new credit card for doing nothing I asked for. Its not a surprise that their phone number is impossible to discover.

User's recommendation: Be wary of this site; it’s not just a dollar. You will be billed almost $30 for a subscription.

Undisclosed trial and membership

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Paid $1 to get an exact IQ; no trial or membership mentioned.
  • - A $24 recurring membership was charged after a free trial; the fee stopped.

Took an IQ test. Said if I paid $1 I could get exact number.

Then out of the blue I got charged $24 for a recurring membership after a free trial.

There was no mention of a trial or membership. I was able to get them to stop the membership fee but a trial and membership were definitely not mentioned when I paid the $1.

Pros:
  • Test was cool
Cons:
  • Lack of transparency

Preferred solution: Transparency on their part

User's recommendation: Stay away from MyIQ.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. I received a full refund ($24.99) after contacting the company.

I was lucky. Many others do not fair the same treatment hence the many negative reviews.

Updated by user Dec 28, 2025

Company promised a prompt and quick refund. Will see.

Original review updated Jan 01, 2026

I signed up to get an IQ test for $1.00. This test was fun BUT the smile on my face disappeared when a few days later I received a subscription confirmation of $24.99 for test products I apparently automatically agreed to buy!

Trying to get your money back is hopeless. Just got scammed for $25.99.

Very deceiving.

Contacted customer service and I got a full refund ($25.99). Looks like they are under new management which takes the refund request rather seriously.

Loss:
$25
Pros:
  • Fun website but
Cons:
  • Scam to get your payment details

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Take the test for $1.00 BUT cancel your account immediately afterwards otherwise...
