Given false information after paying for the gold service.

We recently purchased a car but before we did we paid £10 for the gold service car check with mycarcheck. The text message and subsequent paperwork sent to us both claimed that the car had no previous finance and so we went ahead and purchased the car. After 6 week we decided we wanted to change our car and looked to selling it. However we were then advised that the car still had two years finance outstanding by a company we were going to sell the car to. We called mycarcheck who first said it was because we only paid for the basic £2.99 package and that does not always show all the information. We told them that we paid for the premium package and had the text message and paperwork to prove it. They then said 'oh yes I can see that now, I cannot understand how it has happened because on the computer in front of me it clearly states that your car has outstanding finance' They then emailed a claim form that required information that was impossible to acquire due to data protection. For example the previous owners finance details etc. A guy from mycarcheck Phil Swift then began emailing giving us time limits to provide information or he was closing the case. Every email was condescending and practically a stage with which to demonstrate his level of articulation as opposed to being simple and straight forward. A tactic with which to intimidate is my guess as with most people it most certainly would because it makes the whole thing seem like it is 'not worth the hassle'. Phil Swift also had the cheek to look my partner up on a social networking site (not Facebook or Twitter) not realising that we received notification of his cyber visit (yes we have evidence of this too). Which we find offensive given the fact that we were the innocent party here! Basically all the claims this company make on there website is false and I do not advise you trust them. I am currently looking for an avenue with which to take this matter further!

MYCARCHECK.COM are crooks they gave me wrong information and declined my claim as well

I did a car history check for the car that I bought on www.MYCARCHECK.com they gave me all clear with no negative history. Later it turned to be written off. As per MYCARCHECK service you are covered for loses that you incure if the information given was incorrect, I applied for claim, it was completely declined for me not signing off the reciept on there format instead of a plain paper. It doesnt matter if you use them or not, if in luck the car you buy may be clean, if not you wont get anything from MYCARCHECK
