Victim of fraud
- - Bought sofa for $4200 Feb 14, 2023; swatches confirmed leather.
- - Shipped Apr 10, arrived May 17, 2023, packaging cheap plastic, sofa polyester.
I purchased a sofa set from MyAashis on February 14, 2023, for $4200. To ensure the material was genuine leather, I ordered swatches, which were authentic.
The sofa shipped from China on April 10 and arrived on May 17, 2023.
Initially, MyAashis customer service was commendable, which helped assuage my concerns about the banks ability to cancel the transaction if the product didnt arrive on time. However, the sofa arrived poorly packaged in cheap plastic fabric and was made of low-quality polyester, not the top-grain leather I paid extra for.
When I contacted MyAashis, their customer service turned hostile, insisting it was genuine leather and providing a dubious certificate full of grammatical errors. They refused to issue a refund unless I covered return shipping costs. After persistent calls and harassment, my bank canceled the transaction smoothly.
Surprisingly, MyAashis did pick up the sofa, but they continue to harass me, accusing me of lying and keeping the sofa.
I hope they channel their energy into making quality products instead of fabricating fraud. I hope you have a better experience than I did.
They have nice design ideas, and its a pity they waste it on poor quality. I would have kept the sofa if it had been made of genuine leather.
