Disappointed

MTM watches are all hype with no substance, cheap battery, for a high dollar watch. replacement battery has an extremely short life span.

The first time I went to the jewelers to have the battery replace, he commented how cheaply the movement was made...

Totally NOT worth the money... the only thing I like about it is the look...

Once I changed the battery, became NON water restraint (not willing to spend the dollars to have it resealed).

BTW the replacement lithium battery is about 2 bucks, that should tell you about the quality of this over hyped watch...

I bought the high dollar Titanium version. If they could make a reasonably priced version of this watch MTM would go out of business, Google MTM, all you would get is their propaganda and not the consumer's POV...

Tritium dead

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Warrior style. Approx 12 years old.

Tritium is barely visible, though advertised for 25 years. Replaced a clip on battery that broke. Service price reasonable. Watch has been beat on and still works but for that price warranty needs to be better.

Im told they dont make the tritium so cant warranty it. What a ridiculous statement!

Customer Service & warranty failure

Beware MTM Spec Ops Watches & their warranty policies. I bought a "Black Ops Warrior" with a black stainless steel band.

Within a year the black started coming off onto my wrist. Finally tiring of this I called for a replacement. "Sir, we only warrant the watch movement itself, not the band." Excuse me?!?!? Pay over $650 for a watch and they won't replace an obviously defective watch band but rather want to sell me another band?

If I broke or otherwise damaged a product beyond a reasonable warranty period, I would expect to have to pay for a repair or replacement. But a product that is defective where the seller expects me to pay for them to make good on >their< defective product?

So much for customer service and backing a product ...

I had a one year old MTM I took into combat. When back in country I called MTM about a frayed band.

No matter what I said did not seen to phase them.

They were disrespectful and could care about my issue. No I will Never buy another watch from this wannabe company!

No Customer Service from MTM Special Ops

In 2009 my wife bought me the $850.00 MTM Special Ops Titanium Black Warrior watch for my birthday while I was in Iraq. Within the first year the minute hand came loose.

I called MTM and they fixed it but I had to pay for the shipping. Then the screws in the wrist band began falling out and this time MTM tactical charged me for them plus shipping. They have continued to fall out and I just stopped replacing them. The last straw was a few months ago the minute hand fell off again.

However, this time MTM said that there is only a two year warranty on their watches and I would have to pay for the shipping and the repair costs which would not be known until they received my watch. For a watch that costs $850 I would expect them to provide much better service and to be honest for that price they should not be falling apart.

The company promotes their products on action movies like the Transformers but let me tell you as a real Army Ranger these watches would fall apart if put to the test. I tell all of my soldiers not to buy their products.

Thank you mjkenney for your input and experience regarding your MTM Warrior watch. Like you, I too would like to purchase this watch for obvious reasons.

They are made in the U.S.A. Input in making the watch comes by way of former military personnel. The watches are made of durable good looking materials. However, for a watch at any price over the 400.00 range, one expects outstanding customer service.

From your input, I just will not give MTM my business. Hopefully, if more consumers do the same, then financially they will be forced to change their customer service practices.

Thank you sir for your input and service to our country.

Kind regards,

I agree with you, these watches aren't as durable as a cheap Timex. Mine has had the pins fall out, the rubber band sleeves rip easily and one of the glow in the dark pieces on the watch face fell off and it's stuck in the second hand!

AND, I don't use it for it's intended purpose. I would never recommend these watches to a Service Member.

They are just ***. Oh, and they're customer service sucks, too!
