MTM Management Difficult to Communicate With

One reason why our community severed with MTM Management Associates, a community management firm, located in Damascus, MD, is that Mary Potter was difficult to communicate with. When our HOA President had asked Mrs.

Potter to spell his name correctly (Liscinsky), she wrote back that she did not have time for this "childish nonsense".

And she instituted a $25 per email request for any clarifications about budget disbursements. These seemed unusually harsh and expensive for our small HOA to deal with.

This is one reason why we sought help from the Maryland Homeowners Association regarding good governance princples and Maryland State Laws.

I'm so glad to hear all of these negative comments, because It's nice to know I'm not the only one that MTM has been rude and completely difficult to deal with. Mike Potter has been mean, bullying, and unhelpful at every conversation.

I would honestly consider moving just to not give MTM any money anymore.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. It was like being in an abusive relationship.

MTM is not recommended. Please do yourself a favor and get at least three reputable quotes from HOA Management firms before making a selection.

Do a simple google search on the firm's name to learn of any negativity or controversy. It is not worth the headache to choose some firm that is less than ethical.

A bogus complaint and all statements are false. MTM has served our community 300 homes for over 20 years with no issues. The person submitting this complaint actually assualted the company President prior to MTM not renewing their contract.

My HOA was aware of these postings prior to hiring MTM. Based on their performance and checking into these comments they are 100% incorrect. It's too bad a quality company has to put up with libalous comments from small minded people.

MTM is being kicked out of another Montgomery County HOA. This makes 3 in the past 3 years.

Dont let your HOA go down the tubes with this firm. You can do better and at least get honesty and ethics out of other firms. This guy was terribly rude to my wife and daughter.

Mike Potter has been thrown out of our HOA not because we got a better price, just because he was difficult to deal with to put it mildly.

He is the classic bully. Someone who never really had any self-esteem who happen to get some management contracts and who had no idea of what customer service and respect for others means.

This guy is the opposite of ethical!

Both he and his wife Mary were very disrespectful and on a power trip. They love to control your HOA bank accounts. This has always been a key part of their contract wording and it can hamper a Board suddenly coming to its senses over Potter's behavior.

Folks we are just experience this guy's negativity and poor customer service of MTM.

Potter has all the add-on charges that he uses to line his pocket with fees for copies of the by-laws to documents used for selling and refinancing. It's the biggest ripoff to to the community.

Mike Potter is a condescending, pompous ***! He does not listen to anyone in meetings and talks down to anyone who has a question or wants to discuss an issue with him.

He is totally unprofessional and MTM is a rotten management company.

We are so glad to be rid of him and his nasty disposition. Good riddance you ***!

The comments registered above in reference to MTM are totally inaccurate and generated by a weazel because of a personality conflict between the owner of MTM and his fellow board members. In fact MTM did not renew their contracts with Preakness.

Mr.

Montreal has almost brought this HOA to its knees from his Hitler type tactics. PS There is no evidence of storm water damage to any units in Preakness.
