Agency's Dog!

Spent about $1,000 on a 4 day "quiet, secluded" cabin in the woods near Mt. Hood Oregon. In Welches. We were tired and looking forward to a break. It was a holiday weekend in August. Noticed a very large dog barking nearby. Continued all day. Figured it would stop at night. It didn't. It barked, outside till 6 am. Called the agency office in Welches and told yes they knew the dog and the owners and would "look into it." Several calls later they had no answers. Neighbors, who also had to stay up all night came by to talk telling us it is the company mascot of the owner's of our rental agency: Mt Hood Vacation REntals. The owners go out of town and let it bark. Its huge, its so loud you can hear it through ear plugs (we tried!). It kept barking. Went to the office to discuss problem. Young woman left there to handle busy weekend issues was rude and unhelpful. Her managers didn't want the dog inside but she gave us their name and spelled it for us. That's the kind of service she gave, spelling things and such! We asked why dog could not go inside, no answers. We had to just suck it up like the neighbors. We called and said we had to leave as we needed some sleep. She later called while we were packing and said she hoped we'd hurry up as she wanted to leave! We complained in email and by phone. Owners of Mt. Hood Vac rentals did not apologize or offer any refund or assistance. Days later, nothing. Really, a mascot is cute, a barking lonely beast is not!! If the agency can't be considerate to their own neighbors, don't expect them to be considerate to you is the moral of the story. Stay somewhere else, avoid Mt. Hood Vacation rentals and their bad manners.
