That's bull. I asked them why. It's from chase bank. I m homeless because of then.

Can't pay rent or other bills. They blocked my account. Won't tell me why.

They took away my points on my credit card.

I have not used my credit card in one year and two weeks. I realized they forfeited my $300 plus in points because if you didn't use my card in one year they will remove your points.

I thought the points never expired and they don't. However if you don't use your card within the year, they will take away your HARD EARNED POINTS. I called to ask if they would consider reinstating the points back to my account and decided not too. However, they are still allowing me to use the card after I have not used the card in one year and two weeks.

No, I don't think so. You won't give me back my points? Well, I will be closing my account! Worst customer service bank ever!

I have called and waited on the phone for long periods of time just to have them come back on the phone to tell me they will not be reinstating my points.

If they are going to take away my points than they NEED TO CLOSE MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT. I will take my business where my points will NOT EXPIRE or FORFEITED.

M&T bank stole over 4200$ from me!! Thieves and crooks!

I went in a branch in my local town and I opened an account with M&T bank thinking it's a good bank when I walked in everyone is all friendly and willing to help you, but they're all fake clueless and have no idea what they're doing they act like they know everything about their job yet have no idea what's going on when you call their customer service they have no idea either they're even more clueless! Anyways the next day after depositing 4000$ cash into my account my account is locked like wtf!

due to my email being "possible fraud" like are you kidding me I've used my email for university previous bank account at chase and capital one and I've never had an issue a bunch of BS and a bank trying to steal others money now I have about 4000$ cash sitting in my account frozen and I need it unfrozen I already reported them to the BBB and will continue to pursue this until I get my money back!

BEWARE guys don't open an account at M&T bank they're operating like if they were on George Washington's time they use headsets to speak with the customer service and both branch employees and those from the 1800 line are clueless they are just rude and laugh at you! DON'T BANK HERE !

M&T Bank are thieves

My Mother passed away in February. In the aftermath I was responsible for settling her financial affairs for myself and my brother.

I went into M&T bank in mid March with the appropriate documentation and was given paperwork to fill out which I did. I brought it back to the representative personally.

After about a month I had heard nothing. Mind you, by this time I had settled affairs in multiple other banks often on the same day. I received in the mail more paperwork to fill out essentially duplicates of what I had already done. I was later informed that they had changed their forms and required me to repeat the process. (Good customer service would have been to accept the old forms and make the changes going forward) I again completed the forms and mailed them in.

About a month later my brother informed me that he had received his check but I had not yet received mine. When I called the bank I was told to be patient and wait another week. I waited two. I told them that the check was likely lost in the mail and that I needed them to issue a new one. Now I was told that it was their policy that I had to wait yet another 90 days before they would issue the check. Am I getting interest on the money while they delay me another 90 days? Of course not.

There has really been no attempt at customer service from M&T bank. They are more than happy to delay paying me and just giving me lip service.

I have a complaint filed with the Banking Department and am awaiting a reply. My hope is that they get a steep fine.

BEWARE OF M & T BANK and M & T CORPORATION

My mother, Eileen Raymond is 94 years old. She has had accounts with this bank since 1954 when it was Provident Savings Bank.

In February 2018, she noticed that she had not received a 1099 needed for the IRS and taxes. She called the bank. They refused to provide any information, because they said she had been using a different address for 13 months. She visited her branch at Wilkens Plaza. She spent nearly 3 hours with them, as she had to call Social Security, Baltimore Gas and Electric and others.

My mother had over $200,000 in this account. Apparently an employee noticed my mother’s age, and her lack of due diligence with this account. This was clearly an attempt by a M & T Bank employee to commit fraud.

We called the police. The bank gave no explanation how this happened or who was responsible. We made a complaint to their corporate office in Buffalo.

We demanded an investigation. The bank in turn demanded a formal letter from us. When we inquired why, they said they needed a letter to pursue a security matter. I said, “Wouldn’t the bank want to investigate their own lack of security?” Naturally, they could not give me an answer.

They have caused my elderly mother 3 months of grief with no end in sight. My mother has not even received a formal apology from anyone.

PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BANK. They did just make a mistake. They are successfully covering up the theft and fraud by M & T.

Preferred solution: Offer my mother some compensation for the many hours she has spent trynibg to resolve, this. Tell her who at the bank tried to steal her money, and what you have done.

M&T Bank Southampton PA Has terrible customer service

I was told by my Banker to stop by the local branch to have a check which was issued to us by our insurance company to be verified by the Southampton branch manager. The process should only take a few minutes. We arrived on Friday evening at 4:52 pm. we were asked by the teller to please sit and wait for the managers review. By that time it was 4:55 pm. The manager Michael Draka said it would be a couple minutes.. He did some paperwork and waited for his 5:00 pm appointment to arrive the came out and said that he had an appointment and we could wait 30 minutes for him to complete his appointment.

All he had to do was make one phone call and he wouldn't. The entire process could've been taken care of in two minutes if he wasn't so lazy.

I've basically stopped my business banking with M&T Bank due to there lack of customer service, now this. How bad can customer service be?

Stay away from M&T bank as they have no customer service.....

M&T Banks Misconduct lost us our home

In April M&T Bank sent an answer to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau after they had sent my complaints , and then sent me a copy . In this letter they first denied everything and then in the next paragraph said they where going to review my case .

Which means I guess that they denied everything without even looking into anything .

I also found it odd they no one signed the letter , there was not even an address or name to contact , I guess they are all just cowards . Anyway they have not bothered to follow through and do anything , this is the 2nd time they have said they would look into my complaints but its just lip service .

When we did a consolidation loan with M&T it turned into a nightmare , Among the things they did :

altered our commitment letter and falsely represented it to us ' grossly over assessed our home then sent someone to trespass on our property when we where not at home to try and back it up , Strong armed us into changing the title to my husbands name as well as mine after the closing ( something we would never have agreed to as it was my house before we where married and my husband is disabled . Terrible Service at M and T Bank

entered the bank on January 30 2013 to cash a check, I have 2 business accounts and a personal account with M and T Bank.I signed the check and put a thumb print while waiting for the Teller.

When she came she was looking up the account and had to receive approval because of the amount of the check". This was a new account but I am not a new Customer:. The other Teller comes and starts asking who the owner of the company is, where else did I try to cash the check, and treating me as if I was a thug that just came off the streets:. My check had cleared and been validated, the Teller proceeds to help other people without letting me know anything when I asked what is going on she tells me that they are working on it and she doesn't know what they are doing".

So I asked to speak to a Manager and she says the Manager is in the back working on something.. After I insisted on a Manager and raised my voice then someone came from the back and guided me to the Manager, as I arrived in the Managers office she is calling the bank I opened the account with inquiring on my intentions..

I was never asked any questions, they were treating me as if I had bad intentions, without explaining or asking any clarifying questions!.They didn't even research to see if I had any other accounts/.The customer service at this location is very unprofessional and the Tellers are very unhelpful, if you can go to another location or better yet go to another bank.

Watch out for Bayview loan servicing!!

They are telling me I haven't sent in things they need to reset (under proven hardship) my interest rate to a sane rate. Its almost 6%- and they are laughing all the way to the bank. I have a great credit score and lots of equity they apparently want!

They are totally incompetent and have either lost my file or just want my equity for their investors.

Love to join a class action against them and M&T Bank

I am off to discover where to file a complaint with the feds who maybe can help me/us

Bank with no communication and do not care

We had a loan with Bank of America then M&T bank bought our moratage. In Feb 2012 we applied for a Home loan modification.

They have lost paperwork. I call and never receive a call back, no email. I had two mailing. i send information they are needing and they still want more.

I have sent them the same paperwork several times. We have been in one complete circle and half of another with paperwork. the only way I know what they need is I call but never get a hold of Chyerl or her people. .

We had to go into bankruptcy because of no help. I finally found someone to help me and now that people is no longer there. How many times do I have to send the same paperwork in . Do tey think things will change or I can appear new things.

7 months for the loan mod is a little much and we are no closer then what we were at the start.

They do not care . They want people to stop so they do not have to do the work or help others.Even the operators can not get a hold of anyone. They leave messages to call but it does not get done .

All we want is the help and to be told something.

They have no communication skils ot do not care about people. If we did not need it I ould not be asking for help!!!!

Wanted to charge $10.00 to cash their account holders check

I was cashing a check from an individual who held an account at M & T Bank was advised I had to come inside and provide my hand print, which was not a problem, but had to pay $10.00 to cash their account holders check since I did not have an account with them.

I would have been better off to go to a check cashing company. I will never advise anyone to get any type of an account with a bank that wants to charge a fee for anything and everything. Its all about the money.

For the past two weeks I have cashe my employers check (drawn from M&T) without the $10 charge...today I went in and was told about the fee. Needless to say I walked out without cashing the check. I think it is absurd that they charge non-customers to cash a check that is drawn on their own bank.

M&T Bank

I Have a morgage with M&T Bank and I'm renting the Property, this is a Commercial Property. My renter fail to pay the Insurance (part of my contract with the renter) for about 4 Months so, M&T bought insurance for 12 months (nothing wrong to this point) but the Insurance they bought was for $19000.00 plus dollars.

When I found about the issue, I immediately bought an insurance for a REAL price ($1800.00 dlls for 12 months) then I replaced policies (my policy vs. theirs). Nevertheless, for the 3 plus months they charge me $7000.00 dlls. When I asked them for an explanation about the High cost they were so arrogant and told me that they do not shop for best price for insurance.

Also I found that M&T bank is related to the insurance company were they got the 19,000 plus dollars insurance. thanks

M&T bank

M&T bank is the most worthless bank i have ever used. First I had to place a stop payment on a check, well they cancelled the wrong check which just so happened to be my be my car payment.

I got my car payment paid cash the next day not thinking too much of it, well they not realizing they didn't cancelle the correct check, the one that was to be cancelled was cashed.. 10 DAYS LATER! causing a world of overdraft fee's. At this point because of THEIR royal f' up they froze mine and my fiance's mac cards for 8 days..

we had no access to our money. Their answer.. there is nothing we can do right now. Well they finally get our cards unfroze.

and it took them 90 days to get us our money back for the check that was cashed that was initally supposed to be cancelled.. stay away!

M&T Bank

They suck, they really are leaches. They screwed me and I hope they all get terminal cancer and die a horrible and painful death.

I was late with a payment and they jacked my rate to 29.99%. What a bunch of jerks, I now have a payment of five hundred a month with three hundred of it being interest. I will have to live to be a hundred and thirty to pay it off.

If I ever get a chance to meet the CEO of this company I will...no that would make me a *** too. Oh well, I guess I will just keep working forever because of companies like this, along with the government of course.
