Mr Swirl
Sell job, get a firm quote before you start, perhaps a second quote
These drainage job are expensive. They did not want to provide a quote over the phone -red flag!
If you have cement storm drainage they will want to replace-period. It is very hard to clean cement drains so replacing is the best option but it is expensive-beware. Get a at least 2 quotes, don't be fooled by a "red hot deal" if you take their quote today.
If you agree to have "only" your corner drains dug up and replaced, it is just a *** job as you will need to replace everything between them anyway, so its just BS to suggest you can only do your "corners" without replacing all old cement/clay drainage tiles. Get a written quote BEFORE you start.
Mr. Swirl Plumbing Company
We had (H20) chronic water problems and dispatched a Mr. Swirl Plumbing company technician from the outside of Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, The guy was completely dumbfounded as to what to do and did damage to our pipes that would never fix it in 100 years.
His original quote was $300+ (exorbitantly overpriced) for a small job that takes less than 1/2 hour in total. Their service was subtandard and even enraged my neighbors and friends when they found out we had to pay for it and it was still unfixed, like they did no work. Days later a guy came and charged us an additional $100+ to fix it as I showed him the problem, like the first guy and was 100% right. We were pissed at being whacked 2x by them as it should have been fixed the first time with some competency.
We would never recommend them with poor service and weak customer satisfaction despite some good reviews! Mr. Swirl apparently applied for BBB (Better Business Bureau) and was rejected as they did not meet the standards. Congratulations for the BBB in shutting the door!
Trades people are opportunistic and far overpaid and we wonder why homes are expensive to buy and costly to repair. These plumberss charge more than a licensed physician, no shame. Shop around for a plumber to save money, a terrible experience that supported our preconceived view of trades who get alot of money for little effort. Mr.
Swirl, you lost our support and we'll share our story with others like you deserve.
Mr. Swirl (Mr. Unethical)
Mr Swirl tried to charge my girlfriend 600.00 for a 9.00 cold water feed supply line in her three year old condo? They tried to tell her that she needed a new faucet and several hour labor?
Mr Rooter changed the line for 9.00 plus 90.00 for the call out (including labor). They laughed when we asked them about the 600.00 charge from Mr Swirl? I called several times to speak with their manager?...no call back...I emailed>>>no email back. They did however charge my girl friends credit card 63.00 with out her consent for the call out after we declined the 600.00 charge?
Terrible service, very unethical,...poor after customer service.
Completely dissatisfied with Mr Swirl. Would never ever suggest to anyone!
Mr Swirl- Did very poor quality work and did not finish.
I asked Mr Swirl plumbing in Vancouver to install a new bathroom from start to finish. They jackhammered the wrong area, patched the cement poorly and took almost 2 months to do most of the work.
They were very messy and I had to have the place cleaned after they left. I asked them to come back to fix some mistakes and repairs so they came back and they left half the work unfinished. They ignorned my calls and charged me a lot of money for a very poor job that I had to hire someone to come and fix and finish.
I had a guy come in after and identify some big flaws in what they did and lack of forethought or planning in their undertaking of the work. Do not use Mr Swirl Plumbing if you are looking for honest, clean, fair instalations and or repairs.

Why is it when somebody charges a fee to get a job done and happens to be a tradesman it's a rip off??did you not get the repair did you tradesmen not come to the truck not show up? And a lot of times did you not get what you wanted then why is this a rip off ??
when you going to the store and buy a bag of apples and have to pay for is that a rip off? Your tradesmen working for you are not a rip off this is a disrespectful ignorant comment.
I've had to hire tradesmen many times, People need to be less harsh with tradesmen, yes it costs money to maintain your systems, it's not a perfect world, get over it, these people work hard to make sure you lead comfortable lives, they need some dignity and respect, bash your tradesmen then they get tired of it and quit the trade or get into a sector of the trade that doesn't have to deal with Whiney, entitled ignorant disrespectful customers, then don't be surprised when you get a *** tradesman as few will or need to put up with the constant ignorant disrespect from entitled Whiney disrespectful ignorant customers.
I hire tradesmen all the time and 300 dollars for a man and a truck is pretty normal, yes there are Times when tradesmen will not get it fixed the first time and sometimes it does take a second trip also requires the customers be patient and understand their problems are always not easily solved .
Flat rate companies and commission based companies will rip you off but in vancouver an hourly based company making 90 per hour may seem like a lot but it's not company has to pay for the trucks, training, office rent , pay his plumbers pay for gas insurance oh wait the owner has to pay for his own living by the time it's all done the owner makes 25 per hour profit per worker delivering the best service in town so now are plumbers overplayed
