As I scroll down, I see an image of Native American inspired 'art' with one of the model's nails saying 'Wild Tribe,' and the name of the collection is called 'Explorer.' I say, 'Excuse me? WTF?! Ugh, FFS.' So, I decide to investigate, and wow, I was not prepared for how bad it was going to be.

To add insult to injury, each item listing has a picture of a white woman dressed as an English explorer standing over the colonized countries stamping plates. Jesus *** Christ. Your people created the RCMP to violently rip indigenous children away from their families and force them into residential schools where their hair was cut. For indigenous cultures, hair is sacred and is only cut when a family member dies, and your nuns cut their hair very short, signaling the deaths of the child's entire family. Almost every child was beaten, tortured, raped, starved, and murdered. Those that didn't survive were buried in unmarked graves and the families were not notified. Mass graves of thousands of tiny bones are still in the earth because white people can't face the facts. The last residential school closed in the 1990s, so no, your messed-up colonization didn't happen 200 years ago, so no, we won't "Get over it." while the wounds are still fresh with intergenerational trauma.
