The loaders shoved everything into the truck and damaged every piece of furniture we own (we had two trucks!). The furniture has burn marks from rubbing on the truck walls, scratches, dents, gouges, and in a couple of cases was completely destroyed. Never again! STAY AWAY!!!!!

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! DO NOT USE! Not only did they over charge and charge my card more than once without permission, they damaged my bed and didn't take any responsibility for it. They broke and intricate piece that cost $100 dollars to replace! They were also late to the job and unorganized. When I complained about all of this they did absolutely NOTHING to resolve my issues. NEVER EVER AGAIN!! Warning everyone I know about them!!!!

Moving Staffers - Move Cross Country Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The AZ end crew was competent and professional. Timing and truck were good. The FL crew was not at all up to the job. Incompetent, rude, not interested in working high school students. They dinged up the wall which is no big deal with spackle and paint but they also dented a piece of furniture pretty badly, which was completely unnecessary as there was plenty of good packing paper available. They gave me $90 for it which is disappointing. Looks like I'll be learning furniture repair...

Rude and Misleading

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The loaders provided by Moving Staffers were not prepared (they did not even bring a dolly, which caused them to go over their 2hr time). Then they improperly loaded everything so that when my items arrived, several pieces of furniture where crushed under the weight of other boxes. Moving Staffers said that they would do nothing about that because it was fine when the movers put it in the truck. The representative then hung up on me. Upon unloading of my shattered items, I was charged $250 extra (a full week after the initial charge and receipt) for something that I specifically called and asked them about. (My delivery was delayed and I had asked if my pre-paid funds could be applied to another unloading day.) Moving Staffers noted that I had called but conveniently said that they had no record of ever telling me that I wouldn't be charged which is utter *** as that was my entire reasoning for calling and rescheduling, otherwise I would have just cancelled and done it myself. They are very helpful when taking your money, but rude, misleading, and terrible people when dealing with any issue.

BEWARE DON'T USE this company!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Crew did not listen to requests not to pack certain things. Packed a lot of unwanted items and trash. Did not pack specified items. We had to stuff things into the car and had to leave several things behind as there was just not enough room in the car. One member showed total disregard for a piece of antique furniture. Although it was wrapped the ends were not. He roughly stood it up on the end that wasn't protected and scraped it on the driveway onto a dolly. They also broke a piece of antique stemware and a vase, didn't say anything and left it in a corner of the dining-room covered by paper and it was not discovered until I stepped on it with bare feet AFTER they had already left. I won't know what else is damaged until I am able to get the "ABF TRAILER" unloaded (NOT using M Staffers EVER again). Also they refused to take a $3000 radial saw apart and we had to leave it after being told they would. Since we had a limited time to get what we wanted out (executor of the estate wanted to sell the house) we lost a lot of treasured items. I originally spoke with Justin Pugh. He was polite and courteous. He informed me the price of $790.00 was for premium loading 17ft of a 28ft "ABF TRAILER". He also stated that the crew would have the necessary tools to take apart what needed to be taken apart. I asked if that price was for all day and he stated that yes , they would be there until finished. They left and said they would be back the next day. Got charged extra for that too. He also said if there were any problems or changes to call HIM personally. So after a 12 hr. road trip we get there on June 22nd and the "ABF TRAILER" was delivered on June 23rd. I realized at that time after going through the house we were going to need help with not just the loading but also packing . So I call and I'm told for packers and packing materials it will be another $1500 to $1600 which with the loading comes out to be aprox. $2300-$2400. I was also told any packing we did and any of my boxes and materials that were used would be taken off the bill as well as the materials they didn't use. I personally had aprox 40+ sturdy reinforced boxes and a multi pack of tape. They used all but maybe 5 of those boxes and counted the boxes we had already packed as theirs, and used all my tape. Then when they were allegedly finished they took all but 2 of the boxes they brought in. Okay, so today I see my billing receipt in my email and it's $3146.67 and the loading has jumped from $790 to $1589.04! MORE THAN DOUBLE. Today I call and I want to speak to Justin but was told anyone can handle my call. I failed to get her name but I proceed to tell her about my bill. All of a sudden she got extremely rude and combative. She is very unprofessional (and in my opinion a detriment to the business) and I had to yell to get a word in . She proceeds to inform me that the price went way up because I had ordered services for a 16ft pod and not 17ft of a 28ft which turned out to be a 26ft trailer that I was originally charged for all 28 ft. (WHEW!). She said that she set the order up and I said it was a pod. At no time did I EVER! order a pod or set up for loading one! When I originally spoke and set up the premium load with Justin Pugh and he knew I had already set up delivery for an "ABF TRAILER"! Why would he say it was a pod. Unless this company is well versed in bait and switch which I am beginning to see it as just that. I had planned on using you to unload but that's NEVER going to happen now. I will be disputing that extra $800+- charge.

I used Moving Staffers to load my furniture. More than HALF my belongings arrived damaged, totaling over $10k. They refused to accept any responsibility at all. The pulled a technicality on me by saying "they have no control over who packs for them". What a total crock. If you're hiring independent people to load containers for you, then you have DIRECT control over your services and should accept "some" form of responsibility. I will NEVER use them again and I now go out of my way to steer people away from this service. The only satisfaction I received was knowing that I have so far redirected 2 people away from Moving Staffers (One guy was a personal friend moving from CT to AZ. He was waiting on my endorsement before deciding if he should use them or not. He went with someone else.)

Terrible Business, Unprofessional, Unorganized

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My husband and I planned on working with U-Pack (they provide the trailer) and Moving Staffers (they provide the loading and unloading) for our cross country move from PA to TX. We found out that Moving Staffers is a terrible and unorganized business, and we ended up arranging our move with a different company. I originally made my reservation with U-pack, and was told to contact Moving Staffers to arrange for loading and unloading. I contacted Moving Staffers and was told that everything was set and they would be able to assist in our move. I was also told that if there was any issue (i.e. they were not available on the desired date), they would call me back within 30 minutes to let me know. I didn't receive any call, so I assumed that everything was good to go. Moving Staffers even sent me a confirmation e-mail. Fast forward to 1.5 days before our move to Texas. I get an e-mail from Moving Staffers stating that, "since your town is very small, we could not find any movers for your requested date." I called Moving Staffers and explained that this was unfair. Why did they wait so long to tell me that they couldn't help with our move? This phone call was fruitless. I was told by a very childish operator that "you are more than welcome to cancel your reservation with us." Well.... you're not leaving me much of a choice! After asking to speak with a manager, I was told that all managers were in a "very important meeting," and it would take 1-2 days for them to get back to me. That doesn't do me any good when I am scheduled to move to Texas in 1.5 days. Not only did they fail to let me know that they were unavailable on my move date, they actually charged my credit card BEFORE any service was completed. Now what kind of company charges your card before they complete their service? Especially if they are unavailable on the date I reserved. This company is extremely inept, unorganized, and unprofessional. They have created more work for me, because now I have to dispute a charge on my card and find alternate loaders/ unloaders for our cross country move (with only 1.5 days left before the move). I'm appalled by my experience with Moving Staffers. I will never recommend this company to family or friends, and I hope that my report to the BBB helps other consumers realize what a fraud Moving Staffers is.

The worst company ! Do not use them !

We moved from Calif to Florida. The packers in Sacramento Ca , stacked & packed so poorly they damaged most of our furniture. We even took out more insurance to protect ourselves. Then we were told the contract we signed made us responsible to make sure the moving truck was loaded so " No Damage" would occur. The loaders told us at least 3 times they have 19 years experience, " don't worry" . What a farce ! We have thousands of dollars in unrepairable damage ! Tammy Perry, CCA at Moving Staffers sent an email noting the service only covers damage done when the crew was present & that the moving crew was working under our direction... The Co doesn't work in "Good Faith"

I paid Moving Staffers to pack and load my belongings for a move across the country (Indiana to New Mexico). When I spoke with them on the telephone they said they packed all items, wrapped furniture to prevent damage and loaded the trailer to optimize space. They did none of these things. I had significant damage to my furniture as none of the items were wrapped or even prevented from rubbing together by pads. Pictures were taken off the wall and not put into boxes, but just laid between open spaces in the truck. Many items were broken, damaged, ripped, and ruined as a result of their laziness. They laid my new sectional directly on the dirty floor on its side and it rubbed its way through the fabric over the course of 1500 miles. They charged me for boxes and filled them half full. My 50 inch television was placed on the floor with no padding or protection against bumps while hauling it.... it no longer works. I called Moving Staffers before the hauling company came to pick up the truck to let them know how poorly my belongings were packed and expressed my concern about them making the trip in one piece. They told me "There is nothing we can do now."

Moving Staffers Packing Service Review from El Paso, Texas

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Upack customer service is fantastic. Service is reasonable and takes a load off moving stress. However, do not use Moving Staffers.. The charge at least $175 to arrange a bid from local movers and have no control over or desire to ensure quality. Do not wait till bill arrives via email a week and a half later because you will be brow beaten about not hounding them to return left message about issues. We had boxes marked fragile hidden in the shed with broken Murano chandelier glass components. Two guys of three were not professional movers of which one appeared to be on some substance. So please take time and find a company direct and don't use a middle man like Moving Staffers.

Moving Staffers made my move far more difficult than it had to be. The subcontracted teams they sent did a good job, but it was definitely not worth working with this company. They switched my reserved movers the morning of the move, spoke on my behalf to authorize an arrival time that did not work (putting me hours behind schedule), and only sent 2 people when I paid for 3. I was assured these issues would be addressed and I would receive a credit. When I followed up 17 days later, I was told I would receive a $10 credit. What a joke! Please save your money and your sanity, contract the movers yourself!

Do not use moving staffers

This company is the worst of the worst. I made arrangements to have movers transfer items from moving PODS to a container. They were so bad that they dragged Furniture across the ground and went through the plastic and the moving blankets on the furniture they damaged major pieces of furniture and then hid those pieces in the back. I recommend that you never use this company find a local mover and make sure you're on site to watch closely. Their contractors are absolutely clueless as far as what the terms and conditions are from moving staffers and what their people will do. Moving staffers will lie just to get your business

Don't trust what the Moving Staffer sales person tells you...

A PODS recommended packing service Moving Staffer sales person verbally quoted Plus Service for a 7-Foot PODS container as being "unlimited packing materials and labor" for $1030. After questioning several times about what other expenses could I expect -- and he continually said none. When I got the "Reservation Summary" the 'estimated' price was different and did not even look anything like what I was verbally quoted. When the sales person was asked about this -- he said 'trust me' the price and services I quoted are accurate. I checked the 'agree' button, but still was suspicious. After further inquire with my now 'customer care coordinator' he confirmed the price was only an estimate, told me about other services I would be responsible for additional boxes + labor for packing (the estimate didn't have nearly enough), stairs fee (I told sales person I lived on 2nd floor), long hall, etc. If at this point there are issues...what can I expect on packing day - cancelled my order. Not sure if this sales person is so new as to not know what he was selling, or he thought he could just sell anything hoping the customer would not pay attention! I cancelled my order. Can't figure out why PODS would recommend them....
