Hostage load!
They called me and said they left 2500 lbs of my property in Nevada hours after their truck left for California. Demanded $1000 MORE to deliver it. Refusing to honor contract.
- Lying fraud holding me hostage
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
Use someone else!
I would give them no stars if it was possible they moved us from north Las Vegas to Pahrump in late September, the two guys they sent damaged so much of our furniture they wouldn't wait two minutes for me to get the gate key so they could take our dining room table out the gate instead they picked it up and tried to lift it over the wall dropped it and scratched it across the wall on the top of the table completing ruining the table I have not found one piece of wood furniture they didn't mark up or break they damage so many other items I put in a claim it's now Feb and they are still dragging their feet hoping I will go away! I you want cheap move and tons of damage these are the guys for you if you would like to keep your furniture in one piece I suggest looking else where!
- Are draging their feet regarding my cliam
Preferred solution: Full refund
Scammers!
Scammers!! This company holds your stuff hostage until you pay them far more than what they originally quoted you to move.
They told my father they would not give him his stuff until he paid. When my dad questioned why it was all of a sudden a lot more than what they had discussed they told him just to pay it and if it took less time to unload they would refund. When they unloaded in far less time than my dad had paid for he politely said, "so I guess I'm due a refund" and they told him NO.
On top of that they were completely careless and badly damaged brand new tables he had purchased for his new place. Do NOT hire these crooks!
Moving - Las Vegas to New York
Horrible experience! DO NOT USE.
Great about taking my money but have been trying to get information on my delivery date for a month. No one answers my emails or phone calls. They have $4000 and my things. I had to call police and my attorney.
Filing a complaint with attorney general and better business bureau. I'm going to have to have a relative that lives there go over and check to see if they are really located at their address.
Do not trust your household to them they are unethical people with no conscious. They have no honor - money is all that matters to them, and they know you can do nothing about it because they take your money and your possessions.
Stolen property
I used Move for Less to move from one apartment to another, my furniture was not covered, the glass top to my dining table was not covered.
Manager had left when we arrived at the apartment so the decision was made to put my property in storage - the employees call it a vault.
I did not get back a brand new file cabinet, the new washing machine cover is missing, container with xmas accessories is misssing among other items.
Chairs were scrtached, bathroom space saver was broken, accessories stand is bent, sofa, bed and other furniture scratched
The two employees were late and gave me the impression that they were not in a working mood - thus the sloppy way they handle my furniture.
BEWARE!
BEWARE, BEWARE! I was going to give them 5 stars UNTIL an accident happened.
While a mover was moving my bed through the house to their truck, he broke one of the blades of my ceiling fan. Mind you, I live in an apartment so I was liable to replacing the blade. The “senior” mover said that “everything will be fine. The company will “fix” the problem”.
Thinking that the company was going to actually replace the broken blade, but upon talking to their “C/S staff in charge of claims”, she told me that they are not responsible for accidental damage to property/building that is not being moved. She even had the gall to recite to me supposedly a state admonition that movers are not responsible for damages to the building property. She even told me that she has consulted her boss and he approved a $30 payment to mitigate the damage. $30?????
As if they are doing me a big favor. I had to have an electrician repair and replace the blade which actually cost me a lot more than a meager $30 especially if you think it is not only parts but LABOR(!) Just to have an electrician appear on your door cost me $60 without him doing anything yet. So nice of me to tip the 2 movers $40, in the middle of the move prior to the accident. Oh, I almost wanted to ask them to return the tips because the “senior” mover gave me his cell no and told me to call him if I get into any problems.
I did but he was just blowing smoke up my naïve behind because he pled ignorance and helplessness. Ugh! Yes, they have good reviews in Yelp and in the website but there were also bad ones. I based my decision to hire them because of their good reviews.
Oh was I duped! Again another teachable moment re: the notorious legalese fine print in the contract/law. I realize that accidents happen but I also believe in corporate responsibility especially when the fault is truly their workers ergo the company through association. If I was running the show, I would have shouldered the expense because they are bonded and covered.
The ire that they have generated from me is not worth the extra money to right the wrong! Negative Words of mouth/reviews is more damaging than saving a few bucks to cut corners and leave a bad taste in customer’s mouths.
My only advice to whoever is reading this is to be vigilant about liabilities and responsibilities. Because of what happened to me, I will never use them again!
Move 4 Less - Moving Service Review from Phoenix, Arizona
Terrible company, had a schedule move at 8am, movers did not show up until 2pm.
Movers are extremely slow since you are getting charged by the hour.
When I called I was told it takes 2 men 2hrs to move a small apartment, because the movers where 6 hrs late, I decided to upgrade to 4 men, thinking this would make up for the time lost.
Took 4 men 4 hrs to move a small 2 bedroom apartment.
Even had one of the movers said he had to leave to go to TASK.(a mandatory drug testing for peopleon probation)
They will definitely hustle you for every penny. .
When the movers arrived they claimed the company was no longer taking credit cards and demanded cash or check...
I knew they where lying about the credit card situation but I had no choice since it was so late in the day and could not arrange for another company to come the same day.
I gave them $300 cash and promised to settle the balance with the office on Monday (because they claimed there was no one available to talk to on the weekend)
The next they they show up at the door demanding payment, threatening to call the police. Because they magically where able to take a credit card.
I asked to let me settle with the office on Monday but they completely refused.
I never dealt with a company that was this unprofessional.
The man on thr phone stated " If you dont pay this men they will come after you" meaning 3 black men.
I do not understand how this people are even allowed to do business. They have no since of customers service and take advantage of people.
Short Review on August&nbs-04:00;23,&nbs-04:00;2016

DON’T BE FOOLED – Move4Less – Not Even Close
Eric came out to give us an estimate for packing and moving our belongings 4.4 miles to our new home on May 29, 2015. After giving us an estimate, my wife and I and friends packed about 10 boxes of our stuff in boxes we bought at Lowes. Then we gave Goodwill about 10 giant trash bags of clothing. And, we emptied our master bedroom closet and moved our clothes to our new home ourselves over days prior to the mover’s day move. So, the cost to pack and move should now be less than what Eric’s estimate stated, don’t you think? I mean we packed 10 boxes of stuff and gave away 10 giant bags of clothing and moved a lot of our clothes ourselves. That would mean they had to use way less boxes that they estimated we would be charged for. That would mean it should take the packers way less time to pack us. Don’t you think? That should mean that we would save if not a lot, some money on the move. Don’t you think?
The estimate Eric gave us to move our stuff 4.4 miles was $1,643. You have to add $149 to that because I paid for Mover’s Choice Insurance because the movers were going to have to move 2 computers, a player piano, 2 T.V’s, an antique mirror as well as a pretty big mirror for out dining room, some very old glassware my wife’s mother willed her, 2 desks, a couple of file cabinets, a very expensive and heavy massage chair, framed art work and much more. It seemed prudent to pay the $149 to get the insurance. So, with the added $149 to the original estimate of $1,643, you get a total to move 4.4 miles of $1,792. So, with less stuff to pack, fewer boxes to use and a lot less stuff to move, how much do you think we saved form the original estimate? If you’re still thinking, check the title of the revue. Estimate with insurance: $1,792. Actual cost to move and paid to Move4Less: $2,335.00. What should have cost less than the estimate actually cost $543 more! Their company name should be Move4More. But wait, that’s not the whole story. Remember that insurance I paid $149 for? Mover’s Choice Insurance. Well, we did have breakage.
Mover’s Choice Insurance – Worthless
The movers cracked a computer monitor, broke the player piano control on/off switch, broke the wheel off a file cabinet, broke an antique mirror into a hundred pieces of glass, broke two etched glass glasses from two different old sets of glasses my wife’s mother willed her, they dropped the top portion of an outdoor fountain that put cracks in it, they broke our sleep number bed or at least put it back together improperly. And broke a few other items as well. I gave them a list of items that they broke with costs to repair or replace. The glassware and antique mirror I listed as priceless. They responded that all the breakage did not add up to more than the $1,000 deductible. I figured they took the word “priceless” as meaning the items had no value when in fact it means the value is so high that it’s hard to put a price on it. So I sent them the list again and gave each item a money value to help them determine an amount that would make us whole. They responded that if we went forward with the claim they would flag it as a possible insurance fraud. So they went from denying any responsibility to threatening us with insurance fraud. Mover’s Choice Insurance – NOT PRICELESS – WORTHLESS.
Move 4 Less - Move4Less Local Moves Review from Los Angeles, California
My move was no more than 2 miles away and my estimated time was for 3 hrs tops so i told them to make it for 4 hrs altogether, and the two guys they sent moved so slow as if their boss told them to drag their feet so time would run out for them to collect more money, me my son and my boyfriend had to help because it was going pass the 4 hrs and we weren't even close to finish, they ask me to signed papers saying my goods was received in good condition even though I haven't unpack yet, when I did a lot of my stuffs was broken what hurted me the most was because most of the broken stuffs were my Christmas table settings , im sorry the day I used move 4 less n I will never make that mistake again, make sure you dont sign anything before checking your stuffs first because reimbursement with these people is impossible.
Move 4 Less Moving Service Review
They sent 2 guys out and neither one of them moved very fast. One was a pretty nice guy but the other was pretty rude.
Complained about moving furniture up the stairs I feel that it took atleast an hour than it should have. Will not use this company again.
Damaged furniture and injured workers yet charged full price
We used them for two seperate moves two days running. The first day everything went fairly well, yes, there was a chair or two with a new ding on it but nothing unreasonable.
The second day one of the guys hurt their back. He received a replacement. They stacked end tables with a metal screw between the tops. $900 table that's gouged beyond repair.
I then did a full inventory. The total damage was 1 dining room table, 4 chairs, 3 end tables, 1 desk 1 mirror and they still have not finished unloading the truck. Now here is the cherry on top.
The one guy was hurting pretty bad and we waited 45 min for his replacement. They still charged me full price for the time he was there waiting for his replacement!
- Easy set up for pick up time
- Damaged furniture

I WAS ROBBED!!
In June 2013, I contacted Move 4 Less to relocate my items to storage pending an overseas tour of duty. Despite what the name implies, the fees were standard; unlike their service - which was horrible.
They showed up to the job 5 hours late and failed to break down any beds/tables/etc.; which they claim comes standard with their employment. If this had been where my nightmare ended, I would be grateful. Unfortunately, once we arrived at the storage facility one of the movers asked to see documentation from the storage company to assist in locating the unit. The Move 4 Less employee used this opportunity to steal the code to get into my unit and upon finishing their shift, this employee returned to rob me of $4,000 of household goods, (primarily electronics).
At the time this crime occurred there were exactly 4 people on the face of the Earth aware of where the unit was located, (myself & 3 Move 4 Less employees); and 2 people on the face of the Earth who were aware of how to enter the premises, (myself and 1 Move 4 Less employee). Upon notification of the burglary I contacted local authorities and Move 4 Less. Move 4 Less was very non-sympathetic - refused to offer a refund of my measly $300 to accommodate my hassle. In fact, they actually threatened to file 'slander' and 'misrepresentation' charges against me in the event I chose to share my experience on the internet.
Obviously the individual who made this ludicrous statement to me is unaware that 'misrepresentation' is not a crime - and 'slander' implies that these statements are a malicious or false ... which they are not.
My only hope is to alert others that there are criminals still working for this company and that Move 4 Less is more than okay with letting them into your home. PLEASE do yourself a favor and scroll down to the next moving company on the list.
Moving is hard
i read all of these horror stories about items being kept hostage and things getting stolen and broken i want to be able to move and have a quote and then pay the same price. i heard that brokers will take you deposit and then sell the job to anyone that wants it and they can come and charge you what ever you want and ask you for more money
Move4Less stole some of my stuff
I used Move4Less to move from Las Vegas to Virginia. I packed 3 gallon size bottles of brand new premium liquor.
Since booze is about 30% more expensive in Virginia then in Nevada. Mysteriously the box containing my alcohol was "lost". Since you are not supposed to pack liquid, I have no recourse. I suppose it is my fault for packing liquid.
So they went through my stuff and kept my booze.
Not to mention they forgot to put two ladders on the truck, 16' and 40' high end ladders totalling about $400. Never go with the lowest bidder and Never go with Move4Less.
