Verified Reviewer |They will not refund my money
- - Customer says MVTA did not refund for services not performed.
- - Email asks to call toll-free and share details; on July 28 Ms. Jez said to wait 4 hours.
On July 20th, 2025, I received an email from Mountain View Tire & Auto Service regarding a posting made to their website, whereby I suggested others to check their rating of 1 star, and that Mountain View Tire & Auto Service has never refunded money owed to me for services they never performed
In their email, they requested Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please give us a call toll-free at 1-80*-***-**** Option 2.
We would like to get more details and provide further assistance. Any one of the customer service reps can be of assistance. I attempted to call 3 different time, each time said I was next in line, holding for several minutes only to be disconnected.
Finally on July 28th, I reached a Ms.
Jez., I gave her all the information she requested, location, date service and hour which service was to be taken care of, only to be told Id had to wait 4 hours which I told them it was unacceptable as I had an appointment. They have never refunded my money
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: If they won't refund my money for services not performed, I wouldn't trust them with my vehicle

Verified ReviewerThis is about there Burbank, CA location.
- - Groupon oil change at Mountain View Tire Burbank.
- - 1/30/2024 2 PM appointment; 4hr wait led to cancellation; Groupon refund no reply after 30 days.
I can’t believe the most stupid response I just received, I really had to chuckle: Response from the owner 5 hours agoHi Richard Stone, we appreciate your honest feedback, as we are always looking for ways to improve. Owner, your response means nothing.
They're a slimy company. Just want others to know and avoid doing business with them and Groupon
I purchase a coupon thru Groupon for an oil change at Mountain View Tire & Auto Service, at their Burbank, CA location. I had an appointment for 1/30/2024 at 2PM.
I got there on time and was total I'd have to wait for up to 4 hours (6 o'clock at night) Total them this was unacceptable and to cancel everything. I had a negotiated contact in writing and they failed to live up to it.
I've attempted to get a refund on the CC I'd used with Groupon.
There are no phone numbers to reach Groupon, just file a complaint on their website and they'll get back to you within 30 days. The 30 days has since passed and have not received a reply.
I will never use Groupon again nor go to a Mountain View Tire
User's recommendation: Be careful
Battery complaint.
Battery has a 3 year warranty. They are only honoring a 2 year prorated warranty.
You guys bought it from autozone and its a 3 year warranty. Not a prorated one.
Please call me. 760-715-****

Verified ReviewerHorrible customer service
- - Towed for serpentine belt; manager said an easy fix and 1-1.5 hours.
- - No call by 6:10; they were closed when I arrived.
I had my truck towed in for a serpentine belt replacement the manager said its a easy fix it would take an hour or hour and a half he said they will be open until 6pm and call me when it's done, 6:10pm I didn't receive a call back so I went to their location and they were closed so now I don't have my truck and I will lose a days pay since I can't get to work tomorrow.
- Bad customer service
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don't take your vehicle to this place the manager his name is Jefferson
Complaint
- - Online appointment confirmed with verification.
- - Palm Desert Branch said no appointment and a 5-hour wait.
- - Poor service; will not use again.
Made online appointment and was confirmed by your company. Brought appointment verification with me to the Palm Desert Branch.
Was advised they do not have an appointment and I would have to leave vehicle, as a drop off, with a minimum 5 hours wait.
Poor customer service. Will not ever use your service and will advise others the same.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution
User's recommendation: Go somewhere else.

I have been coming here for over 8 years. Today is the last day I do business with Mountain View.
I have always been treated great in the past. Never again
Warranty for my tires
- - 11/27/2021: Spoke with Richard about tires bought ~2 years ago and warranty.
- - No warranty lookup; tires wear evenly; wear blamed on me; combative.
I spoke to Richard 11/27/2021 in regards to my tires i purchased a good almost 2 yrs.ago. i asked can he look up in the system to see if my tires have a warranty.
He told me he doesn't say it you would have to bring it in. I asked him there is nothing you can pull up before I make a long drive to the shop ? He said no, I said I would like to know being i just got tires brand new not even a good 2 yrs ago I shouldn't need tires already. The tires are evenly worn and he stated because of how fast they wore down it's due to me not doing my part.
I said first of all i service my vehicle with the dealer on a regular and take very good care of my vehicle. He was very combative, interrupting me while I'm speaking. I feel the attitude over the phone was very unprofessional and uncalled for. Im no longer a resident of Long Beach and just wanted to know if I have a warranty before I go else where to purchase tires.
I currently reside in Moreno Valley and have a tight work schedule so I don't have time to drive down for nothing if I do not have a warranty. Im very upset being I spent a good $600.00 to already be needing new tires.
I really would like to speak with someone about this matter. Thank you.
Warranty about my tires that i purchased not even 2 yrs. ago . There already bald evenly
- - Warranty inquiry; system shows purchase but no warranty; Richard was rude.
- - Verification needs in-person visit; Moreno Valley resident needs tires now.
Called to see of I had an warranty on my tires I purchased not even 2 yrs.ago. Richard told me he was unable to see it in the system but it shows I purchased the tires.
He said the only way he can verify is if I bring the car in. We'll for me I no longer reside in Lakewood,Ca , I live in Moreno Valley and my schedule only allow me to have the weekends off. I do not want to drive to Long Beach, CA if I do not have a warranty. I really need tires like now.
Richard was rude and interrupted me as I was speaking.
Then he told me 2 different information and I really felt like he didn't want to help me. I will not be purchasing anything else from this location.
Sad Service, Meager Repair
- - $200 repair did not fix the stalling; car stalled again and was towed.
- - Towing not reimbursed; spark plugs $20 each ($80); Mountain View offered cheaper options.
Went in with a stalling problem, and left with a $200 bill that did not fix the problem after they said it had been repaired. It then stalled out the very next day, and was towed back to the store.
At which point I was told I would not be reimbursed for towing, even though it was towed for a problem they insisted they fixed.
On Top of that was told the only option for my car were the $20ea spark plugs (totaling $80). When I checked another Mountain View elsewhere was given more accurate, and more cost effective option.
