Verified ReviewerRefused refund
- - Paid $75 to Mountain Breeze; CHW denied claim citing outside copper line.
- - Second local AC found the leak in the evaporator coil inside; coil replaced.
Do not use this company!
I paid the required $75 service fee to the technician when he arrived. He looked over my AC unit and reported to Choice Home warranty that he found a bent copper line in the outside condenser unit that caused my refrigerant to leak out of the system causing CHW to deny my claim. After being denied I had to absorb the cost of repairs on my own. I then contacted a local AC repair company to look at my unit.
What he found was that the leak was actually in the inside Air Handler evaporator coil, and not the copper line. Meaning, Mountain Breeze only assumed the copper line was leaking and did not properly diagnose where the leak actually was. I then contacted another local AC company to give me a quote for the replacement of the evaporator coil and went with them.
He replaced the inside coil and, actually heated up the copper line in the outside unit and was able to straighten it out. He also reported to me that that pipe does not have a leak!!!
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Do not trust Mountain Breeze Heating and Cooling to do a good job!
