Mt. Graham didn't properly take care of my daughter
Last February my daughter kept fainting so I took her to Mt. Graham Medical Center. They said she was drunk and had passed out. Sent her home after IV treatment. A couple of days later she fainted several times in one day and I called 911. She was transported to Mt. Graham by ambulance where once again they said she was drunk and passing out. I suggested to the doctor that she was fainting like she had a spinal cord injury. He laughed and said she was just drunk and passing out. The last time she passed out she had a sudden splitting headache so I took her to Morenci Clinic where the Urgent Care doctor recognized the symptoms of a brain bleed. We finally got some help. A CT at Mt. Graham showed two brain bleeds! My daughter spent about two weeks in ICU in a hospital in Tucson. I credit the doctor at Morenci Clinic for saving my daughter's life. But Mt. Graham was negligent.

Mount Graham Medical Center in Safford Arizona
My daughter was bitten by a wasp last night. She took an antihistamine and figured it would be okay. However, her hand and arm are swollen and black and blue almost up to her armpit. She was out of town so she decided she would stop in Safford at the ER at Mt. Graham Medical Center rather than chance driving home with her arm getting worse by the hour. She arrived at 3 P.M. and expected to be seen presently as there were two triage nurses talking with a bearded man who seemed to be chatting with them. They looked up something on the computer and were laughing and talking. The man did not seem to be in distress nor appear to be a patient. My daughter approached the triage nurse and told them she was having an allergic reaction to a *** on her arm/hand. The nurse picked up a clipboard and then put it down and asked her to wait "a minute". So my daughter sat down to wait 30 minutes!! The nurses and the man continued their conversation and ignored her until she approached them and said, "*** on you - I'm going to Morenci Urgent Care". This is 45 miles away! What is the problem with triage at Mt. Graham? What if the swelling goes to her throat? What if she faints or has an accident on the way to Urgent Care? I have called Administration and left a message. I hope to get some satisfactory answer to this type of treatment!! We are not used to being treated as second class citizens by "white folk".
Cons:
- Service by emergecy triage staff

Mt. Graham Medical Center in Safford, Az ER does not attend patients
My daughter was stung by a wasp and her left arm is all swollen. Her arm is black and blue and very swollen from her hand to her armpit. She went to the ER at Mt. Graham where she was told, "We'll be with you in a minute." She sat down to wait for a half hour while the triage nurses chatted with some older bearded guy. They were busy looking up something on the computer. It seemed too personal for the man to be a patient. Finally, my daughter got up and left on her way to an Urgent Care 45 miles away. What kind of emergency room is that?
