I ordered a part on 1/20. Was notified by email from company that the product was not in stock and would take 3-5 business days to arrive for shipment. I was charged on the 20th and the product shipped on the 27th. I was concerned that the delay was unfair due to collecting funds immediately without having the product in stock. I felt that I should be compensated for the delay with a more expeditious shipping. They refused any assistance. The product was then delivered but no one could sign for it on the 29th. The 30th the package was never delivered to my home. I contacted the post office and they advised me the package was lost and they were trying to locate it. I then contacted the company to let them know the issue and to see if they could help. All they would do is tell me to email them and they would contact the post office. I was asking for help on how to get me the product and they would not do anything except wait for an email. I have filed a complaint with the consumer affairs division at the post office on the issue. I then received an email from Corey at motomummy stating that they contacted the post office and had it returned to them. They have held my money so far for 10 days with no product in my hands and will not be in my hands. They also state that they will not do business with me anymore. I am the consumer with the issue and they were not willing to contact them to find it to deliver to me, but rather to get the product back. Why did they charge me and keep my money without delivering the product? Also they know it is being sent back, why am I not refunded immediately? These are poor practices for good business.

It seems that you don't understand the processes involved in shipping, receiving, and refunds. It wasn't right that the product was shipped a week after you were charged.

At most, it should be shipped within 48 hours of the charge to your card. Refunds always take longer. It's funny how your money goes real quick, but takes forever to come back, but that is the nature of the charge business until stricter regulations are passed by our elected officials. The credit won't be processed until they receive the item and ensure that it is 100%.

They couldn't do anything until the post office let them know where the package is. Once the post office picks it up from the shipper, it becomes their responsibility, not the shipper's. As far as trying to get free expedited shipping, that won't happen because the cost to the shipper for the difference is too high. As far as them not accepting your business anymore, you evidently really pissed somebody off.

I have told customers to leave before because they were unreasonable and expected too much compensation for a simple mistake. Nobody is perfect, and they wanted the world given to them for a minor mistake.

Customers like that aren't worth dealing with because they are never satisfied and will bad-mouth your business anyway. It is easier and better for all just to not do business with them.

The company would not respond to me. Thankfully I purchased with PayPal.

They had nothing to say for the scenario. No rebuttal to what happened.

PayPal reversed the purchase..... But of course it will take 5-7 business days.

What did the delivery service do for you? Did you have a tracking number?

Once the package is picked up by the delivery service, it is their responsibility to make sure you get it. Did Motomummy give you a refund since you never received the package? The delivery service is actually responsible for compensating you for your loss.

They used to require signatures upon receipt. Nowadays, unless it is specified as required, they will leave packages at your door, where anybody can steal it.
