They screwed me
I was scared and in trouble in 2012 when everything came crashing down, the final straw being that my HOA was using predatory practices. I needed to file quickly, so over looking at reviews, I looked at who would get the chapter 13 started for the least amount of money.
As with every other review on here, I will reiterate they were terrible. They not only didn't adequately explain what was happening, they never call you back unless you call at least 4-5 times, and they really screwed me in the $3600 total they charged me becasue they didn't do anything to earn those fees. Also a key aspect of my case they completely dropped the ball on, that I am still feeling the effect of to this day. My HOA sent out a letter to all residents a few months before I filed, stating that for a "number of years" everybody was incorrectly assessed.
I happened to be one of the ones being overcharged about $12.00 a month, FOR 9-16 YEARS TO THE TUNE OF $1000-$2000! I showed this to the attorney, and asked them to get accounting from the HOA, and object to their claim. They ignored me. I fired them two years ago and would never refer them to even my worst enemy.
Now my HOA is coming at me again with ridiculous claims, I have again brought up being overcharged, my current attorney tells me it needed to be objected to back in 2012 and that I have no recourse. I am beyond angry. Morse & Associates are also predatory, praying on people that look to them for guidance.
Not to mention plain lazy and greedy. DO NOT USE THEM!

Don't do business with Morse an Associates. They never returned my phone calls.
I filled a chapter 13 and at the end of 2012 and was told that I could get them included in my bankruptcy. So I called to have them add my taxes in to never get a call back. I had to threaten to fire them after 3 months of never getting any response. Once I got a response I was informed my payment would be $399 a month instead of $281.
I struggled but I did it. Anyhow to make a long story short they never did the work. I found out by getting letters from Federal and Colorado and by calling the trustees office. I couldn't make my payment one month due to trying to save my pets life and they told my I was overpaid.
not to worry about it. Which got me thinking so I contacted Federal and called the Trustees office again and asked how much my payment was on my bankruptcy and he told me $281. And asked why I was paying more ($399) I just told him that I was trying to get it paid off quicker And he snapped at me saying You can't do that! ( when really it was Morse and Associates Mr.
Todd that told me that my new payment was $399 and that he included the rest of my taxes into my plan.) I would go elsewhere but I am just now able to start rebuilding my credit Not worth going to another attorney when I only have about a year and a half on my plan.
But after my case is over I need to make payments to the Government for my taxes that where not included.

Extremely unprofessional and NEVER returns phone calls!!! They never kept me in the loop with what was going on and what to expect. I had to constantly call to find out what the status was. My case was complicated and they should not have accepted it to begin with. It was passed onto 2 different lawyers. They should NOT be in practice. Do not waste your time or money!!! They were certainly glad to keep my money minus $306 which was for the court fees.
I am now working with a new lawyer who is getting things done and gets back to me within 24 hours, sometimes less! The gave me a rundown/timeline of how things are to be handled.
DO NOT USE MORSE AND ASSOCIATES!

Morse & Associates are CROOKS!
Morse & Associates were hired December 5th, 2013 with a full payment to their Company. No work was done and asked for a refund. I was sent 410.00.
Here is a Email To Morse & Associates dated. They sent me a Check ( 410.00 ) of 1700.00 as a refund for zero work that they can prove they did. They also sent me a letter calling me a Liar!

On December 5th of 2014, I had paid $800.00 with a Check from Mom and also Cash from girlfriend ( $500 ) to Morse and Associates for a bankruptcy. This was a grand total after putting 150$ down last year with M. Chaney of $1450.00 not including credit checks. What a great guy Mr Chaney was with this company. In 2013, I had some issues with unemployment and taxes in which I won all of my cases before proceeding into the final Bankruptcy in 2014. Mr. Chaney was extremely nice and HELPFULL! I trusted this company due to his actions and his compassion to help someone. I was really impressed with Morse & Associates! I did not know he was Retiring. Let the games begin!
Before I paid the rest of my money to Morse & Associates I had called and talked to a woman named Melissa? I was concerned that MR. Chaney had left the office and she reassured me because my case was so small and easy that this would be an open and shut case. She had said, "Now Is the best time because we slow down". "We will have this done right away and Tod is awesome with his clients". I trusted her and Tod and rushed to get the payment to Morse & Associates December 5th of 2013! Weeks went by with ZERO phone calls or care to me and my problems. I also had the run around with Morse & Associates because I had to do ALL of their research in pieces when MR Chaney already had everything together and there was nothing left for me to do but go to court. Morse & Associates is the most UNPROFESSIONAL company I have ever Hired and worked with after Mr. chaney had left. What a horrible company and customer service you guys are providing. I have not been contacted ONCE by anyone from this firm from day one, after my payment. I have left messages for Tod with Zero returned calls. Very Unprofessional on everyones part @ Morse & Associates. The receptionist was the only help this company gives and is a nice lady. She needs to find a new job! No offense. I can only imagine how many people besides me calls and complains. WOW!
I have contacted another lawyer to take my case and am INSISTING on a FULL refund of $1450.00 not including credit checks that I was INSISTED on doing for Morse and Associates when they clearly said they would get the information. I also was advised because Morse & Associates have been paid in full, if something happens on a collection or an infraction because of this, Morse & Associates is FULLY RESPONSIBLE and can be taken to court for neglect to a client and case. Yip. Try that on for size! I honestly have been waiting for something to happen! I hope it does so we can bring a case against Morse & Associates! This company has done nothing but lied to me and also my sponsors to helping me get back on track! I am requesting AGAIN a Full payment of 1450.00, The Credit checks and info I have already paid for which comes to 1500.00! I also am asking for 300.00$ in waisted time. What a *** company. We will also be going to the better Business Bureau and a few other outlets with our story. We also have contacted a few TV stations in regards to your actions. The longer this takes, the more we tell our story too the public that needs to know that Morse and Associates is the absolute WORST LAW FIRM IN THE WORLD! This has been a waist of time and also good services. This letter will also be mailed to your firm along with my other lawyer to ensure this is timed and dated! Thanks for waisting my time and also my money.

I was instructed this can take 30 days to return. Im guessing add another 3 months onto that with the way Morse and Associates does bad business, and will not be tolerated. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
Horrible customer service
Considering how much money I paid them, are returned phone calls to much to ask for? I couldn't tell you how many times I have called to discuss my case.
They Have NEVER called me back. I have never been as discouraged with a business relationship in my entire life.
I sent them a check along with other information that they requested. They cashed the check, but supposedly lost the rest of the information. This left me wondering if some of my personal financial information was floating around in limbo.
Apparently they found it, because they haven't asked for it again. Yet, they still haven't called me back to discuss what happened.
So here I am waiting, with no idea of what is going on. They also have numerous Better Business Bureau complaints...

Morse & Associates at 910 16th Street Mall, Denver Colorado is over worked but continues to take on cases. My BK case has been delayed by atleast 4 months and I keep getting the run-around. Do not sign any contracts with this company/lawyer so that he/she can get to my case in the near future.
BTW, they have 4 complaints with the BBB stating that they have delayed service to others. Service that has to be paid upfront per their contract agreement.
Please note, that people who file bankruptcy want to get thru this tiresome proccess ASAP. If a person is not filed with the courts then he/she needs to explain to employers that they are in the process of filing BK. This will most likely cause a person to lose employment opportunities. Employment opportunities that are scarce.
