Resolved: You brought wrong table.
Morris Furniture said "too bad, you took more than three days to get back with us. We won't replace the table now.I am 80 years old and not in good shape.
I didn't notice the problem till past three days. So,they switched me over to Ashley furniture where the piece was originally made. The customer service girl knew just what to do. She explained how the bedroom end table was made.
The secret drawer was in between the first and second drawers, hidden underneath the top drawer. That's all I needed to know.
She has worked there for 20 years and was very professional. Case closed.
You don't want to know how I feel. The treatment from this company is like none other. The girl that answered was rude and unforgiving.
Nothing happened! Just confirming delivery date! Apologies if I was at the incorrect web site.
Returning your phone call regarding delivery on 10-15-25. Table, chairs and 4 bar stools. Thank you for your concern and service!

Verified ReviewerOrdered one color of a desk and two shelves, and they sent a different color saying that that was their new SKU color. Not acceptable to send a different color light gray that I don't decorate with.
- - Wrong color items were delivered.
- - Dayton Mall calls were not answered and there was no callback, and I am canceling the order.
Dealt with Morris furniture for 20 years, really never had a problem and have enjoyed the furniture. This last order has been a nightmare.
Ordered two shelves and a desk. What I ordered was the off-white color and I was sent a light gray.
The sales individual Tim told me this was their new color and that "I would have to pay" a restocking fee if they were to come back and I were to return it. I've called repeatedly to speak to management with no success.
Sent wrong color of shelves and ordered the wrong color desk, unacceptable
Called the Dayton Mall location right after they delivered and called anywhere from 10 to 12 times. Not only did anyone never answer but I never got a call back from my sales person rectify the situation.
Very bad business. I have been a customer for over 25 years with Morris and I've always been pleased very disappointed in this since I'm canceling the whole order.
Went to the Wilmington Pike location and the salesman told me they have furniture out to advertise, but, that they no longer can order the color.
User's recommendation: I would tell customers I ordered a desk and two cabinets to be the color of the desk in the photo and I was sent a light gray. Maurice sales person told me that's the color they now send. Not acceptable.

- - -Salesman promised 5-year warranty would refund $399.99 if no claims.
- - -I asked three times to confirm.
- - -Refund is now store credit expiring 6/22/2025.
In April 2019, we bought a reclining sofa, a reclining love seat, and a reclining chair. During the sales process, the salesman Lewis talked to us about a 5-year extended warranty plan and what it would cover.
Being a skeptical person by nature, I told him that I didn't see a reason for the extended warranty as there are only 2 of us living in the home and, being up there in age, we are not likely to damage the furniture. He said that he understood, and that is why 'if you don't file a warranty claim during the 5 years, you will get all of the money paid for the warranty back'! Now, being a person who believes in the saying 'if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't'!
So, during the paperwork process, I asked him 3 separate times to confirm what he had said about the warranty and getting all of the money back if you didn't file a claim ($399.99). Each time, he replied with the same statement: 'if you don't file a claim, you will get the $399.99 back, no questions asked!' So now the 5-year warranty period is up, and no, we never filed a claim, but now we are being told that the refund is in the form of a store credit and if we don't use it by 6/22/2025, it will expire, and we will get nothing!
- Deceptive sales practices and company policies
Preferred solution: The $399.99 that we spent on their 5 year warranty plan
User's recommendation: If you shop at Morris or any of other their stores get what ever they say in writing!

- - A salesman Lewis promised a full refund of $399.99 if no warranty claims were filed in the 5-year period, but only store credit is now offered.
In April of 2019 we bought a reclining coach, reclining love seat and a reclining chair. During the sales process the salesmen Lewis said that if we took out an extended 5 year warranty for $399.99 and if we never filed a warranty claim during those 5 years the $399.99 would be refunded to us.
To make sure that we were understanding exactly what he was saying I asked him 3 separate times to confirm what he had said about the warranty. All 3 times he replied with the same answer which was " if you don't file a warranty claim during the warranty period you will receive a full refund for the cost $399.99 " !
So, we took out the extended warranty! Now that the 5years has past with no warranty claims they are now saying that we have to accept a store credit for the $399.99 !
User's recommendation: Make your own decision about the warranty but get it in writing !
Poor and rude customer service
- - Purchased two chairs; faced pickup miscommunications and delays.
- - Salesperson refused to load in the rain; customer service slow.
@Morrishome
Morris buyers beware. I am compelled to share my disappointing experience.
I purchased two chairs from Morris Furniture and received a voicemail stating that I could collect them at their store after 1:00 pm on Monday. Thankfully, I called the store on Monday to confirm the chairs' availability and was informed that their truck was full and the chairs were not on board. I was assured that they would arrive on Wednesday's truck. Subsequently, I received multiple messages requesting that I schedule a pickup or delivery time, which caused confusion.
Upon contacting the store, I was advised to disregard the messages and confirm the Wednesday pickup. This morning, I received a text message stating my purchase was going to be reallocated if I did not make arrangements for pickup/delivery. Another call to Morris and Im told dont worry, the chairs are here in our warehouse waiting for your 4:30 pickup. Whew, Im relieved.
I arrive at 4:30 to get my chairs and the salesperson is clearly put out. He informs me he doesnt really have time to run to the warehouse and see if they are there. I assure him they are and I was told to check in with any salesperson and they would direct me to the warehouse pickup area. The salesman then tells me he cant lift the chairs into my car as its against company policy.
Umm why offer pick up then? He reluctantly told me where to go and said he would meet me there. I stood in the pouring down rain waiting for him to open the garage door. I could hear him grumbling and then the door opens.
He looked at me and said, its raining and I dont have an umbrella. He then looks at his watch and says I have 3 more hours of work and I dont plan on working in wet clothes. He then proceeds to tell me hes really not allowed to assist customers with loading. Im boiling at this point, soaked and disgusted with his attitude.
I walk over to the floor dolly, pick up the box by myself and load it into my SUV. I then proceed to call customer service. Im asked to type in my phone number and Ill receive a call back within 48 hours.
Okay, Im okay with this. About 15 minutes later I get this text messageHow unprofessional is this!!??

- - Moore sectional was bought about 2 years ago.
- - Paid over $5k; value over $7k.
- - Extended warranty won't cover broken frame; Morris hasn't responded.
I purchased a sectional from Moore Furniture close to two years ago. The furniture was valued at over $7000, which I paid over $5000 for.
When I purchased the furniture, I also purchased the extended warranty plan. Since then, the frame on the furniture broke. I was told this was top of the line quality furniture and it would last for a lifetime. I have contacted Morris and the warranty place, and they are telling me they will not cover it.
However, they can come out and fix it for $100 an hour, plus material cost. I recently went to the store I purchased it from and talked to a sales rep about the same furniture, and he assured me that the furniture would not break. If so, they would send somebody out one time to determine if it was a manufacturer's fault.
I have contacted Morris about that yet, with no response. And it looks like they're going to do nothing about it.
- There are no pros
- Company does not stand true to their word and will not answer emails or help out with the problem
Preferred solution: I would like them to come and fix the furniture that is broken and if it cannot be fixed, I would like for it to be replaced
User's recommendation: I would go elsewhere and would not purchase from them. When you spend that much money, you expect a company to back what they tell you.

- - Purchased Morris sectional over 5k with an extended warranty.
- - Frame broke in about two years, warranty claim denied, no Morris response.
Horrible
I purchased a sectional from Morris for over 5k and also bought an extended warranty. When I made the purchase, the sales representative assured me that this was one of their high-end quality pieces and it would last for years.
I guess he meant two years, as the frame has already broken. I have called both Morris and the warranty company, but my claim has been denied and I have received no response from Morris.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company, especially considering the amount of money I spent, including nearly $600 for a warranty. I will never purchase from them again!
- Furniture is not of good quality
- Lied to me about warranty

Verified Reviewer |Broken furniture
- - Purchased Nov 2019; delivered Feb 2020.
- - Many pieces arrived broken; seeking restitution and a callback at 859-444-****.
I bought this furniture back during November 2019. It was delivered February 2020 to a new home that I just moved into.
I had a lot of issues with broken furniture that I kept calling and reporting and was given the runaround. Covid hit a lot of things just kind of went out of whack recently my couch has just broken and when you sit down, it feels like youre sinking back into the couch towards the bottom if you will.
I am still making payments on this furniture as well as the other broken pieces that I have and I would like some restitution on this matter because I am a single mom of two children working two jobs and I cant have furniture thats not gonna be sturdy enough to last me a couple decades. I would appreciate it if somebody could please give me a call back at 859-444-**** thank you
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: My experience with them was so bad that I would recommend you to find another furniture shop do your homework and find somebody else that is going to take care of you truly and not just look at you as money.
Broken furniture
- - After three years, the warranty has not been met.
- - A reimbursement is requested; a text calling me a pissed customer is not appreciated.
Being that I have had the furniture for three years now and still paying on it I believe that Morris home furniture and Ashleigh furniture have not lived up to their warranty, and they have offered an inferior product that is not holding up. I believe that there needs to be a reimbursement of some kind. Also, I dont appreciate getting a text from Morris home furniture saying that I am a pissed customer.
