Wont ship insane fees
- - Insane fees on the invoice after winning.
- - They won't ship, citing mismatched billing/shipping addresses and claiming I am a new winner.
Well, after bidding and winning several auctions, I received the invoice. I understand fees; however, they were insane.
I can actually live with that; however, I go to pay, and they will not ship to my location. They state the reason is that my billing address and shipping address are not the same. I bought the items through Invaluable, where Morphy had them listed. I have been doing the same for many years: same card, same billing, and same shipping.
Their excuse was that I am a new winner with them. I said I bid through Invaluable. They don't care. I said then keep the items if you won't ship them.
They will accept the card to pay for commissions but not the items. Amazing.

When I received it, it was junk. It is on my scrap iron pile. They have zero guarantee.

Recently purchased a firearm from the December auction. First of all, Morphy charged tax on shipping and other fees.
Secondly, the description of the firearm was untrue. This was item #2362, WW Greener 12 ga. The gun was listed as having good bores and mechanics and locks up tight. The chambers are rusted, the forearm hanger has been glued on ( not soldered ) and the gun is off face.
I do not know if Morphy is dishonest or just encompetant. I have purchased items in the past, but never again.

I called to see where my item was and everyone I talked to had a very professional attitude and pleasant to talk with and try to help. My opinion of Morphy is that it is excellent auction house
Bid on an item that was totally misrepresented. They are abusive, rude, and vindictive. They left a negative review on Invaluable, which gives buyers no recourse, so I constantly have to deal with it.
They were totally dishonest, and unscrupulous!!!! Stay away!!
