Morgan Properties - I moved out on July 31, 2023 and have not received my security deposit...
The property manager informed me when I returned my keys on July 31, that I would receive my security deposit refund within 30 days. I provided a forwarding address as requested and I have not received my refund. The manager did an inspection of my unit and told me that my unit was in very good condition. I have called the corporate office and no one will talk to me. The receptionist either will not answer the phone or send me to a voice mail when they do answer the phone.

Roaches all in the cabinets, tried calling them to resolve the issue. A few months before they did a inspection and after that inspection roaches started to come.

To whom it may concern

My name is Aaron R. Randolph

I've lived here for some years now and paid my rent on time without delay.

I have a leak coming from the upstairs apartment I placed a work order on July 11th, 2023, and it was closed out on July 27; nothing was done.

I placed another work order on. Aug 1st, that was closed out on the 8th, and the maintenance manager left me a dehumidifier. What kind of service is this? I shouldn't pay my rent if I have to continue dealing with this unprofessional conduct and lack of service!

I will contact Norristown Building and Inspection and request a mold inspection in 5 more days.

I'm trying to see if they will respond to the other two work orders I have currently open! We'll see

Complaint

I lived at Park Place Apartments in South Park, Pa.forover 10 years and it was the worst experience I ever had. All kinds of signs explaining the rules which were not enforced and hiring a guy to take care of the pool and then had a party with alcohol and under age drinkers. Maintaince was worse . When something needed fixed , they took their good time coming to fix it. I bought a cute little house and I would never go back there and would not reckoned it to anyone.

Even after replacing all the staff at Northwest Crossing things still suck. The apartment building is always filthy stained carpet, dirty walls. Nothing say ghetto like this place. The building shakes, you can hear conversations from the other apartments. Roach and mice infested. I've been here since April 15,2023, can't wait to get the *** away from here.

I have a had a dysfunctional washing machine since May 2023, warranty requested, September 2023 and still no washer, per staff washers come in but they don't work either, so how many times will washers be brought to this property that don't work, who is in charge of ordering these raggedy washers, I should have been able to keep the working washer that I purchased previously. I now have a leaking bathroom sink that has been leaking for 6 days and now a part is needed and supposedly ordered but where is this part coming from??

Wish?? This new management is GHETTO, I have lived here for many years and never have I had to continually go to the office once or twice a week, and they need customer service training BADLY, this is AWFUL and TERRB.LE but let me not pay my rent and a notice will be on the door within 3 business days.

Corrupt rental practices

They will put you in an apartment. It looks good but all the issues are just cosmetically covered up. Then your apartment has all kinds of issues while living there. Black mold, mildew, old collapsing infrastructure. Then when brought to their attention they tell you nothings wrong. After they send out 3 contractors. 2 telling you to leave. 1 stating the other 2 are crazy. Guess which contractor they hire. Corrupt business all around. Good luck with corporate. They must be paid to cover up complaints. Beyond frustrated.

Overcharged with obsessive fees

Original review Sep 01, 2023

This is an honest review. To many obsessive charges and fees.

If you DO decide to move, make sure you take videos because they will try to charge you so many fees depending on circumstances when the apartment was already poor. The unit i was in was not updated at all. Just make sure you do your due diligence. Its too many fees.

Its tooo many fees with them and i wished i listened to others. Fees on top of fees. Second, they also will ignore countless noise complaints, but expect you to STILL live in those conditions and they will tell you what you want to hear and tell you things are being resolved when you literally had to deal with the same issues for months until you left. How did anything get resolved.

This place is ridiculous and quite frankly one of the worse places i ever lived. When i moved in 2022, they was charging me for renters insurance when i already had renters insurance through another company. All i got was a SORRY. Its like they was super quick to give you a fee without properly making sure everything was ok.

Please do your research as I wish i did before i moved in.

Everything is public. Believe and listen to each review carefully

Complaint/absurd living conditions

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We received a collections after an abrupt move out in june 2022;

This was after MONTHS of chaos with no actions taken to fix anything. Paying $1600/monthly to live above alcoholic drug dealers who smoked indoors, and caused our building to be broken into; we complained about constantly.

Then the roof caves, we live with contruction workers. Parking spaces taken up by their materials and dumpsters.

All with a NEWBORN. Not to mention the lack of following rules or upkeep of dog *** which was everywhere. I am glad we got out of there, but regret how abrupt it was considering a few months later my sister was nearly killed in your complex. Another person we had made complaints about; nothing done about him, now she lives recovering and fighting in court.

And the nerve to say we OWE after all we endured while paying the amount we did for amenities that we barely accessible or open.

I will be spreading word of how unneighborly and uncommunity like this apartment complex is. Absolutely ridiculous.

Put me in a dangerous situation

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I looked at my apartment in the beginning of February. I moved in 3/15/23.

around 4/5/23 a package came for the tenant who used to live in my unit. As normal I put the package in the common area by the mailbox. More then a week later the old tenant and the police called me demanding I return a package I did not have. When i went to the office to ask what was going on, I was told the old tenant said her mothers ashes were in the package.

At that point i was annoyed and informed them i felt it was unsafe for them to give this lady my personal info. They stated they didnt but she had my full name and phone number which isnt in my name after visiting the office. A week later i started getting mail for advertisement for a lawyer. The old tenant pressed charges on me for theft.

So now after months of court dates and missed work the charges have finally been dropped. I am so upset that when i asked how she got my info i was told they didn't give it to her, but yet when i received my court papers it show that's how she got my info. Oh and by the way there were never any ashes in the package per the filed report it was a yoda key chain and mermaid doll. So the office let a lying physo have my personal information.

I had months of being stressed and annoyed because of this issue. I had to change my number and purchase THE RING to ensure my safety.

I moved from Blackhawk apts in 4/23, prior to the move the manager did a complete inspection of the apt including the bathroom and they stated all was OK. So upon me moving I then gat a letter stating

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I owed money for ty he tube not working properly, if she looks In my file she would see I complained about ty ube drainage it was never fixed, so all I ever did was take showers and not baths. The tube has been that way since I moved In , 12/17.

I refuse to pay for something that has been messed up since I moved in there I never took a bath no stopper. And the managers records it should show inspection in 4/23, passed she had a maintenance man with her that checked bathroom.

They are trying to extort money from me based on what the said was fine when I stood up with the manager. Please handle check records

Mount Vernon Square Management is Violating my Lease

Mount vernon square management has been ineffective at maintaining habitable living conditions. I moved in May, experienced roaches every day in every room, and it has not improved at all.

I made the decision to move somewhere that doesnt have a roach infestation, still in Morgan Properties. Now Mount Vernon originally said that they'd provide $500 for moving if I stay in a Morgan Properties community. Currently they are now saying that is only if I stay at Mount Vernon Square. I do not want to live here anymore, there are shootings, fires, infestations, and an ill-equipped management team.

And I know that I am getting nowhere because they are sticking to policy, but policy has been thrown out the window ever since I moved in to the decrepit apartment I am in now. I am entitled to a roach-free residence.

And ethically I should not have to put any more money into ensuring a roach-free life. To back out of the $500 moving credit they said they'd offer is a morally, ethically, and legally questionable action, and I'd prefer to communicate with someone capable of understanding my situation rather than telling me "No." and citing the policy with no further discusssion.

Customer care

I applied to a Morgan property community - curren terrace. The leasing agent I was dealing with was Jay.

I explained to Jay that I am retired and receive social security and was looking to move back to Pennsylvania. I told Jay that in addition to my monthly social security, I had over 35000 in savings and asked him if that could be considered towards the financial requirements. He responded affirmatively but refused to tell me how the calculations would be done. I've spoken to many other apartment communities since applied at current terrace all of whom could provide me the information as to exactly how my social security (1830 monthly) combined with my savings would definitely qualify me for an apartment with respect to financially qualifying.

I also have had a credit score of 840 with a completely unblemished background and credit report. I'm short, I was an ideal tenant. Curren Terrance was the 1st apartment I applied for because I really wanted a private entrance apartment. Jay insisted he knew nothing about how my savings would be calculated towards the rent.

I told him I really wasn't interested in applying unless I knew would meet the income requirements (what would be the point) He repeated that he had nothing to do with the decision making. Against my better judgement I applied and received a rejection which stated it was due to lack of qualifying income I called Jay and once again he said he had no information and referred me to the company they use for background checks. The woman I spoke to there referred me back to Jay because she said they don't determine what income can be utilized (direct contradiction to what jay was saying),that they only go by what information the leasing person provides them and she told me that Jay had listed my 35000 savings a monthly income of 800. I asked her where he got that number and that is when she referred me back to him.

he is now refusing my calls.

I should also mention that the next apartment I applied at (whose rent was actually $150 more)I was approved. This is an obvious case of housing discrimination (senior) which intend to pursue through Civilization
