  • Hired Alex Marino of Moody's Tax Law in Calgary to renounce U.S. citizenship.
  • Took 3 years to file taxes; complaint says he isn't licensed in Alberta.

I hired Alex Marino of Moody's Tax Law and Moody's Private Client LLP from Calgary, Alberta, to renounce my U.S. citizenship and file the necessary taxes.

In my opinion, words cannot accurately describe just how bad a job I received from Moody's and Mr. Marino.

Took 3 years to get my taxes filed, and I am still not done because of mistakes and sloppy work.

I went to file a complaint with the Law Society of Alberta only to find out that Alex Marino is not a licensed lawyer in Alberta. Beware of this guy!

User's recommendation: Do not use Moodys,

  • They charge high fees for poorly done work.
  • Communication is very bad.
  • Lawsuits allege predatory lending by PSR Developers and Paul LeBreux.

First, they charge enormous amounts for poorly done work, which is a disaster. Second, their communication is so bad that you don't want to step into their offices one more time.

Third, I heard that they have Paul LeBreux as a consultant.

The same Paul LeBreux that was sued for unethical lending practices. Check this out:

Paul LeBreuxs company PSR Developers and his partner Rick Scharich were recently sued for a list of alleged predatory violations of lending laws and unethical business practices.

The lawsuit against Paul LeBreuxs company PSR Developers reads:

- PSR Developers has failed to provide a statement of the loan payments or breakdown of principal and interest after demand.

- PSR Developers failed to provide a copy of a RESPA statement at or subsequent to Closing.

- PSR Developers failed to timely service the loan, including but not limited to failing to deposit payments received and intentionally withholding the payments in order to cause late payments and defaults.

Paul LeBreux Accused of Shady or Questionable Lending Practices

- PSR Developers provided a loan subject to the Dodd Frank Act, without being qualified or licensed as a mortgage loan processor.

- PSR Developers provided a loan subject to the Dodd Frank Act, without making any determination as to the financial qualifications of the borrowers or ability to pay.

- PSR Developers intentionally failed to provide notice of any late payment or default in loan payments.

- PSR Developers (Paul LeBreux and Rick Scharich) intentionally failed to provide any notice of default of payment under the Mortgage so as to intentionally cause and allow acceleration of the Mortgage and Note.

- PSR Developers intentionally initiated a foreclosure complaint before the court without first providing notice of default and the opportunity to cure, all in an effort to illegally secure possession and title to the subject property.
