Key Takeaways for Future Customers

  • Check Monaco Coach Corporation reviews for recurring issues with parts, electronics, and dealer service response times.
  • Expect helpful moments from tech support but be prepared for long hold times and slow parts follow-up.

Negative Feedback / Risk Areas

Don't stand behind their products

AI Highlights
  • Poor service from parts; they damaged a fender and won't replace it.
  • After months on-hold, they destroyed the mold and won't make a new fender.

Poor quality and terrible communication from parts department. Broke a fender on a 4 year old coach from a tire blow out and after spending hours (over 6 months) on hold, promised to be called back (multiple times...never was), then having to call in multiple more times and at the end of it all, they decided they didn't want to make me a new fender and destroyed the mold (yes....after knowing that I needed a new one).

Now I'm stuck with a otherwise great looking coach with a big old fender MISSING and they won't help me.

I even offered that if they'd make them I'd buy multiple fenders just to make it worth their while. Will NEVER buy a Monaco again, they don't stand behind their products.

Loss:
$4000

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

Never Purchase a Monaco Coach U will Hate

AI Highlights
  • 2004 Monaco Diplomat has several failures (mudflap, wipers, fridge).
  • Cosmetic issues: cracked fiberglass, leaks, broken shades.
  • Monaco gave no reply.

We bought a Monaco Diplomat in 2004. On our first journey from the dealership the rear mudflap fell off and the Windshield Wipers quit working. The generator start switch has failed as well as the refrigerator.

The fiberglass side of the full body paint is checkering and fracturing. There are literally 1,000's of small crack in the sidewalls.

The sink faucets were leaking and the window shades broke. The is a buzzer coming from under the dash that no one can find. The heater and air conditioning only work when it wants to - not when I want it to.

Now the latest problem is the coach has been sitting all winter in storage. It hasn't moved, yet the electric window shade bracket broke and dropped the shade only catching it by the motor wire and the entry door will not close when the coach is level.

What does Monaco say about all of this? Nothing. Not their fault. I have an idea - DON'T BUY A MONACO

These are all common problems for Monaco and they never addressed them. They filed BK and are now owned by another company that will not honor any of the old coach problems.

We have had ALL of these same problems with our coach (funny how that happens) plus the shower valve failed and the only way to replace it is to remove the pantry. Interior lights randomly do not work. Our refrigerator has been repaired at least 4 times. The latest is the ice maker, which was replaced, and now - on a trip it is not working again.

The front AC squirrel cage fan blade came off the drive shaft. We had to remove the hinge from the door so it would close. Closet doors are constantly falling off the track. Air bags leak when coach is sitting.

Hot water heater has a fault and just shuts down. NEVER BUY A MONACO COACH.

Never Buy a Monaco Again!

AI Highlights
  • Exhaust bolting failed; exhaust nearly fell off.
  • Three windshields failed; leaks remain.
  • Transmission failed at 33k miles.
  • Poor customer service.

From the day we took our first shake down cruise to the day we turned it in, 3 years later, this Monaco Camelot has been a royal pain in the *** The exhaust system nearly fell off due to improper bolting, we have been through 3 windshields, it still leaks very badly, transmission failed at 33k miles, a bad injector on Cummins ISL, Sani-*** macerator was a joke (we finally removed it and threw it into the desert), water pump failed, and a whole list of other smaller items.

In short, we are pissed and we think Monaco should be raked over the coals.

And don't get us started about their customer service!!!

Also having similar issues. Purchase brand new 2010 Riptide, first three seats started flaking off the the vinyl off at year 3 no help out of warranty tough luck was the response I got from Monaco and the manufacturer of the seats.

Since then it has been replacing the motor for the steps, control box for the levellers, microwave, replace dining room table, had to replace bed base so thin it broke. Generally a big piece of crap and Monaco won't take responsibility for anything.

Plus the high voltage Outlet holes were all cut to big so when you would try to plug something in it would fall through the wall. And the list can go on and on and on.

"Never Again!!!"

Bought a new Cayman XL in 06. At least 28 different issues- some I fixed myself, others fixed, usually on the road.

Some things never worked correctly (levelor system, etc) I still cannot believe that a builder who billed themselves as top end would secure my rear view mirrors with wook screws! I had bolts installed to secure them correctly.

We were very happy to unload this mess this year. This was the worst single consumer product we have ever purchased

completely agree, we purchased our monaco 34s lapalma in 01, we thought we were buying a top notch motorhome, price $103,000, guess again, been a big headache since, nothing cheap to replace eaither, a/c went out cost $1300

inverter went south cost was $1700

generator plastic maniford cracked cost $1100

2 recalls, 1 major because of frame breakage, the other cruise control, may start a fire.

this all happened without warrenty and motorhome as of today 6/01/08 has 17000 miles on it. plus the m/h rattles so bad i hate to drive it.

DO NOT BUY A MONACO MOTOR HOME
