- - Momentum Telecom's service is poor.
- - I was told to open router ports; I quit and switched to Nextiva; in Mexico it works with any modem or router.
This company has very poor customer service and inept people working. When you go to a voip provider is it because you want mobility.
Your phone should be plug and play. No matter where in the world you may be. Momentum never worked in Mexico. I have a virtual office and have to travel constantly.
They told me that I had to open some ports in my router for the phones to work. Well, after several hours of painful experiences talking to their unfriendly support staff I decided to quit! They are just the worst company I ever dealt with. I had to switch to Nextiva, and want a smart move that was.
I travel all over Mexico and just plug my phone to any modem or router and it works like a charm. None of this opening and configuring ports B.S.
If you are reading this and want my advise.. Stay away from momentum telecom.
120 days after cancelling still no refund

I cancelled our account on March 4th 2013. We overpaid by $17.79.
I have requested this refund be sent to us at least 6 times. Everytime I call I am told that they are emailing their billing department and there is no response. I was told on June 24th that the check was being sent to me. Here it is July 2 2013 still no check .
It isn't a lot of money but its mine. I am on a fixed income and don't care if it was $1.00 or $1000.00. It should have been returned.
I was never late paying them. My acct was 270824**** and closed March 4 2013.
Phone service momentum

my service was interrupted at 10:15 am on July 8. within 10 minutes I had contacted customer service and realized our bill was past due and we had been disconnected.....totally our fault and very embarrassing.
But...........it is 12 hours later, 11 hours since my online payment cleared my bank with at least 10 phone calls back to customer service had various explainations and a little sarcarism and still no service. We are a busy insurance agency with over 100 calls per day that will pay our account in full as soon as possible and do business elsewhere.

ok i went online and came accross an ad for this company and liked what i saw and decided to switch my service to them. Everything went smooth i was switched over within 2 days like promised.
they told me i would get my first bill within 10 days to cover the first month of service. I call them 2 weeks later and they told me i did not have a current balance. i get my first bill with them 35 days later saying my account was past due and will be suspended within 5 days and the bill was for $ 207.14 much larger than they told me it would be $ 49.99 + fees and taxes. So i call them and they told me they would look into it and call me back within an hour.
They never called back and i wake up the next morning and my service was shut off. This company is a rip off and i should have stayed with my other company
