Wrong fly out date
I am wanting to make a $5 fee payment. I have talked with someone and all I need to do is make a payment. Its under my corporate account
No such thing as "Customer Service"
I was trying to fly from Honolulu to Maui to see family friends who were visiting after Christmas. The night before my flight I got food poisoning and needed to cancel my flight which you can only do by calling the 2 numbers provided.
I started calling when the centers opened at 3am (Hawaii time) and did not talk to anyone at all.
My flight was suppose to be at 6am and to get any refund you had to call before departure but there is no way to do that since there is no one answering the phone! As a Hawaii resident, I will never even look at Mokulele Airlines again
Preferred solution: Full refund
Mokulele Airlines - Review in Transport category
Mokulele Airlines just doesn't seem to care about their customers. This includes everyone from the agents at the terminal, to their ticket agents and customer service on the Big Island.
The image they project is, 'we don't care because we don't have to. Here we are, take it or go somewhere else'.
As a resident of Hawaii it's disheartening to be treated poorly by a local company. I don't plan to fly them again.
Go Mokulele Airlines stranded us on Maui
We are stranded on Maui for three days because of Go! Mokulele Airlines. They have provided us NO assistance during our ordeal. This is the worst travel experience I have had during my 67 years.
On Saturday, Feb 26, 2011 we were scheduled to fly from Maui to Honolulu at 11:55 a.m. on Go to catch a Continental Air flight to Los Angeles at 2:50 p.m. With a stopover of almost three hours, I didn't anticipate any problems. Upon our arrival at the airport we were informed that our flight had been delayed until 2:40 p.m. (actuality left Maui at 4:39 p.m. 4 hours and 44 minutes late) which was too late to make our connection. It was busy so they could not get us on another airline to Honolulu. All they could do for us at the airport (after almost three hours) was to get us on a flight on Tuesday, March 1, to Los Angeles. We could have left the next day for an additional charge of over $1,600. We decided to stay at a reasonably priced hotel. Go gave us a piece of paper with a customer care number they said we could call for assistance.
Fortunately, we have a relative on Maui who was able to pick us up. At her home we went on line to find a hotel. I found that the only hotels that were available were high priced ones like the Four Seasons with rates much too high for us. I tried to call Go's customer care, but the fine print said they are only open M-F. Our relative allowed us to stay and camp out in her living room living out of our suitcases. The home in Kahului was built in the 50's and has a low ceiling with no air conditioning. It will be 83 degrees today and with the humidity it is very uncomfortable for us.
This morning (Monday, Feb 28), I called Go's customer care and the conversation did not go well. In short they had no other obligation than to get us to Honolulu on Saturday. I guess we could have flown with them to Honolulu on Saturday and slept in the airport as no flights were available. No, they are not responsible for anything and further they will not provide any type of assistance. Very importunely, they will not assist us in getting an earlier flight with Continental as they do not have a service agreement with them. This all seemed scripted so they must provide this "customer care" to a lot of people.
Thinking about this disaster and doing some research I would like to pass along the following:
Hawaiian Airlines by my count has 24 flights a day from Maui to Honolulu. Go Airlines as 7. Just by this count you have a better chance to make your connection on Hawaiian Air in case of a delay.
Hawaiian Air is a member of the Air Transport Association "Customer First" program while Go is not. If you are interested do a Google search to get more information.
Hawaiian Airlines has a service agreement with Continental Airlines (Also Customer First member) and this may have facilitated our return home. Go has no such agreements. Hawaiian Airlines also has flights of its own to the mainland and this may have helped us.
We are incurring many additional costs on Maui during our three day forced extended stay. There is the mental toll also. I recommend that you do not fly with Go! Mokulele Airlines. It is not worth the $20-$30 you save on a ticket.
Update: I spoke with an airline reservation agent today to inquire about cancelled Go flights as I do not want to miss my connection to L.A. tomorrow. She warned me about cancellations and that flights had been cancelled today. I checked the status of some flights on Go Airlines yesterday on their website and found five flights that were cancelled A full search would probably would have revealed more. Further I checked the the two morning Go flights from Maui to Honolulu this morning (Monday) and found one cancelled. Looks like my nightmare may continue.
Do a Google search and you will find similar reviews. I should have checked reviews before I booked.
Go Mokulele is a scam pretending to be an airline!
Normally I'm an easy going kind of guy that doesn't get to upset when things go wrong, but it's hard not to get upset when you fall victim to an obvious scam. Read the reviews like I should have before I made my travel plans. I haven't found a single review praising Mokulele for their outstanding service. Instead they are all more like "I would rather swim the Pacific than get aboard another one of their flights"!
We added a day trip from Kona to Honolulu while on our honeymoon. They delayed our flight to Honolulu for half an hour for reasons that nobody really knew. Our return trip to Kona later that day was at first postponed from 7pm until midnight, then right when we were supposed to start boarding, they cancelled the flight completely. At this point we had to stand in there line for 1 and half hour. When we finally made it to the rather unpleasant man working the counter, he assured us that there was nothing he could do to help us. So now I was getting upset. We didn't have anything we needed for an overnight stay and my wife asked what are suppose to do? He stood there with a rather blank expression on his face and I leaned over to her and said they are telling us ***! He replied with that's not what I'm saying. My responce was what are you telling me then because your not going to help us get a flight out tonight, you're telling me that you can't get us back to the Big Island for two more days. That means I'm going to have to pay for 2 nights in a cottage I won't us and pay for 2 days car rental I won't drive. So they put us up in a cheap hotel for the night and told us we could come back in the morning and wait to see if we could get on a flight.
By this time I could see that this was night a company I wanted to do business with, so I booked with Hawaiian airlines that night and we flew out the next morning. Lesson learned. GoMokulele will rip you off. I didn't tell them that I was flying out with a different airline so I was still on their flight to leave on Saturday. And they call me Friday night while I'm already sitting back in Volcano and inform that my rescheduled flight has been rescheduled!
This company has no respect for their customers. I don't know how they are still operating. I've never felt so wronged by a company in my life. When you try to contact their customer service, their system tells you the number has been changed and then it disconnects. I guess if I offered a service as bad as theirs, I wouldn't want to have to talk to people either. When you get to there service counter you won't know whether your at an airport or if you've entered the seventh level of ***! Just save yourself the hastle and fly with anyone else.
Canceled flight
On Feb 11 2011 four of us were to fly from HNL to Kona. When we arrived at 10 am for a 11:30 am flight we were informed it had been canceled due to mechanical problems. Even though they had corresponed with us on email for reservations they claimed they did not have contact information. They made us wait on standby until 8:30 pm before they got us a hotel. During our wait we observed that almost every flight that day was delayed or canceled. When we came back the next day our flight was again delayed one hour. While we waited the first day one of our bags did go to Kona and back.
We were treated with nothing but contempt and indifferene by all the ticket and gate agents. We also learned the locals refuse to fly with them because they are so undependable.
We lost the cost of one day condo and car rental. We lost almost two days of our 10 vacation sitting at the airport. Some of our party who were to arrive a day after us had to pay a taxi $60 to take them to the resort because we were not there to get the car and pick them up.
We have learned they have a C minus rating with the BBB and over 40 formal complaints have been filed against them.
We have gotten the same canned response from them at every point since day one. Their only responsibility is to get you there, it does not matter if it takes 5 years. Wish we had done our homework before we purchased our tickets. We will swim before we ever fly with them again!
Mokulele almost made us miss our connecting flight
My husband is handicapped and we are in our 60s. We had a wheelchair waiting at Honolulu from Kauai to take us to check in. We waited 45 minutes for someone to come. A agent from Mokulele insisted on taking us out of the airport and running on the outside to American airlines. The security guard try to tell him that was the wrong way he would not listen. We had to recheck in at the out side desk and go through security again. They even took my water that I had purchased at the airport in Kauai. We had 2 hours layover but because of the mess this man created the agent had to call the plane to let them know we were on our way. We are seniors and the running was certainly not good for our health. This was not right.
Thank You
Anna Platt
Do Not fly go!Mokulele Airlines!
They cancelled my flight from Kauai to Honolulu in December 2009. I have still not received my refund.
Furthermore, their customer service department has put it on me to call them back every time I want to know the status. Their account department claims that a refund was issued in March, but I have checked my statement, along with calling my credit card company...but no refund was given. Just to be clear, Mokulele Airlines cancelled my flight a few hours before boarding, forcing me to purchase a second flight home from another airlines, but will not give me my money back.
I consider that stealing. I will never fly with them again.

Instead of posting your rant and raves here, write all your complaints to the FAA....Im sure if they are enough letters submitted a investigation will begin. just take into consideration that the agents are just as human as passengers, and deal with these kinds of things on a daily basis, Im sure they are just as frustrated as we are as passengers and only are doing what MESA AIRLINES The OWNERS OF GO!MOKULELE trained them to do.
it is not their fault the planes are either canceled or delayed . I work for a big carrier and 50 pissed off pax with nowhere to go is nothing compared to 200 plus passengers irate.
Give the agents a break, and stick it to the people who's calling the shots..Make your voice and letters heard by the TOP DAWGS!
SHAME ON YOU GO AIRLINES FOR YOUR IMMATURE AND PATHETIC SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC! SHAME ON YOU FOR PUTTING A LOT OF PASSENGERS IN HARMS WAY FOR ALL YOUR DELAYS!YOU HAVE DONE SO MUCH DAMAGE AND A LOT OF ANGRY FRUSTRATIONS THAT YOU HAVE GAINED LOTS OF COMPLAINT!
WE ARE ROOTING TO SHUT YOU DOWN FROM SERVICE! WHY EVEN BOTHER MAKING RESERVATIONS WHEN YOU CANNOT ABIDE BY THEM.
IT'S A REAL NEGATIVE TO A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT THEY WILL NEVER RETURN ON YOUR AIRLINES AGAIN. WE WILL CONTINUE TO SHARE THESE MESSAGES WITH OTHERS!
GoMokulele is a no go! My new bride and myself thought that a nice simple day trip to Honolulu would be a welcomed addition to our Hawaiian honeymoon.
Unfortunately we booked with these *** bags. They got us to Honolulu from Kona but getting back with them proved impossible! They first delayed our return flight which was scheduled for 7pm until 11:45 at which time they canceled the flight completely. That night we were informed that it would take them two more days to get us back!
No explanation no concern for previous plans, just we'll get you there when we get you there. So that night I booked with Hawaiian Airlines for the next morning. Got on that flight, no problems at all. Sitting in Volcano eating dinner that night and GoMokelele calls me to inform me that the flight they scheduled me on for the next day had already been cancelled and they needed to reschedule us again.
Nothing but a comedy of errors with these guys. AVOID AT ALL COST...BETTER YET JUST SWIM YOU'LL GET THERE QUICKER
