Vendor dropped the ball, unfair business practice
- - Missing items after storage, including vacuum and electronics, valued around $2000.
- - Reimbursement denied; they blamed third-party Florida storage.
Moishes moving was contracted to move my belongings from Jersey city to Hallandale Beach. As they arrived early to Florida, they (MOISHE'S) offered to store my belongings (no add'lt charge) with their local storage.
Upon receiving good, 3 wks later, boxes had been tampered with, obvious items were missing (vacuum cleaner, electronics, contents in buffet cabinet gone!). I alerted Moishes' & filed report, they requested a list of items & apprx cost. To promptly reply literally saying: "we cannot reimburse you as the Florida storage is a third part we don't even know". My requests to reconsider or at least explain Why this blunt reply - have been ignored.
It is only fair I get reimbursed, missing items are about $2000.
That is a large sum for me. let alone what items had sentimental value and those whose value I will not recover even with the $200 claim I was denied categorically.

Damaged most of my furniture
- - Damaged items: ripped desk leg, cracked cabinet door, and chipped TV stand corners.
- - Move time doubled; a box missing and others arrived damaged.
I hired Moishes Moving of New York City to pack and move me from NY to CA. They managed to rip a leg off my desk, crack a cabinet door in 1/2, take chunks of wood of of several corners of my TV stand, and that's just part of the damage.
In addition I am missing a box, and several boxes came with huge holes in them. . . sure I'm missing stuff from those too.
In addition, the move took double the amount of time it should have and the movers were fighting so bad when they arrived in the morning that one of them walked off the job.
Completely unprofessional with no respect for my belongings.
