Poor product and disastrous customer service
I built a house and moved in in July 2024. I had a general contractor who bought the flooring from a retailer in our small town.
It was Marina Oak, Sarto Isle engineered hardwood. In August, one of the planks started showing surface peeling and the mop would get caught in those. The contractor worked with the retailer and replaced it. I thought it was the end of it.
However, a similar defect started appearing all over the house. The retailer contacted Mohawk and they sent an independent inspector in January 2025. This is June of 2025 and I have not heard back anything regarding this. The representative of my contractor contacted the retailer and was told that 'Mohawk rejected the claim.' I called Mohawk to get details about the rejection.
They right away refused to provide me any details. They asked me to contact the retailer. I had resorted to contacting Mohawk as the retailer was not answering my calls. My contractor wanted nothing to do with it anymore as I had already made the payments before the multiple defects started surfacing.
So, as the customer who spent the money to purchase their product, Mohawk showed no loyalty to me. And they are standing by the retailer who sold me a faulty product.

People need to know mohawk and pergo are the same company. They own a lot of companies. Wall tile floor tile you name it they're probably involved with it.
