CAVEAT!!! Company canceled order, never refunded, no resolution

Searched live and online for a very specific size/color marble table so jumped into an order when a sale coupon at Modholic arrived in my email. *SPOILER ALERT* "Big mistake.

Big. Huge" (name that movie) A composite of all these complaints was our miserable experience. Smoke and mirrors with "get it by____". Had not even received tracking number by alleged delivery date.

Days later after multiple calls received tracking link. Link had no info. Eventually contacted carrier and stated had not been able to pick up from seller yet...ok. No idea when it would be picked up.

Several weeks, numerous more snake oil sales discussions. Erroneous postings of supposed conversations with me. Was told would receive update from logistics person. Never.

Updates are simply a tolling of the days the item is "in transit" with no geographic or other info. The item originated approximately 300 miles from me. In the over 21 days I have waited for the 3 day "white glove" delivery no actual update or information. Today listed tracking site my order as "canceled", which I did not do.

No email or update. By now you can anticipate the epilogue...no refund. Will have to go thru my credit card.

Waste of time, stress, money. Bye $1400!

Company is a fraud. Ordered a table set and immediately became suspicious when no tracking number arrived after 2 days. It only got worse.

Ordered table set $573.00 on 12/13/2023. I became suspicious when no tracking number arrived after two day and I then called.

The person who finally answered acted as though she just woke up and could not answer when I would receive the tracking number. After a long hold, she came back on and said it would ship early next week. But after no one then replied to follow up emails and I checked the BBB website and found hundreds of complaints, I tried calling again. No answer after repeated call.

Also no answer on this alleged chat feature on the website for hours. When someone named Prasad did finally answer, I demanded the cancel my order and was told I would receive an email if the cancellation was confirmed. I also followed up with an immediate email and sent a post through their website demanding cancellation. No responses.

I caught this early on and my charge is still pending. I definitely plan to dispute it through my bank once posted because I have zero belief they will honor the cancellation. I did want to share this complaint and warning for anyone and everyone who may fall prey to this fraudulent company. Do NOT buy from Modholic.

Do NOT risk it. Report them anywhere and everywhere you can.

Fraudulent company - have claim filed with BBB and MC

I had ordered a table and chair set on June 15th which were in stock per webpage information. Two days after my order, I received notification that the table was on back order.

I waited 6 weeks and was assured several times via email by Shevy that the delivery will be there any day. After 8 weeks, I asked for a refund which was never delivered. Shevy provided a fake transaction number and stopped responding to emails.

I strongly suggest to not do business with this company. It is clearly fraudulent.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. Finally found someone in customer service (Shevy was great) that was able to get a new chair delivered.

Received a broken chair on Sept 20, 2022 and immediately provided photos and video. Modholic admitted the chair was broken and would send a replacement part or chair.

Nearly 3 months later they have stopped responding to my emails.

I'm now stuck with a broken chair with no way to return it or get a replacement.

Do not order from this company even though they sell some great furniture. If anything is wrong, they will do nothing.

I have been searching for a version of this chair for a while, the construction materials we're in line with a description to a T. The chair was shipped in a day and I was putting it together next.

I had a small issue with one of the cushions and yet again it was resolved in one day with no hassle. Very Happy!

I was fooled by the 5,000 5 star rating on their website. Ordered globe chair 3 months ago and it still hasn't shown up.

Website says "ships in 24 hours". Each time I call customer service I let them know "ships in 24 hours" needs to be changed and they act like they will get right on it.

It's more than misleading - it's a full on lie. I've left 2 negative reviews on their site and oddly enough, they do not show up.

I hope my review helps anyone who is considering to purchase furniture from this company. Run away.

I am not sure how they get by with grave misrepresent the condition and quality of the merchandise that is sold on their site.

It is dishonest and fraudulent.

I purchased their 36" tulip table and chairs dining set. The item took ages to ship, and the chairs did not arrive with the table. I had to wait weeks more for the chairs to the "set" that I ordered.

When I put the table together, I discovered that the table was damaged.

The center post of the table was dented in two places, and the table top had small chips in the paint. The edge of the table also had a large chip in the paint.

After e-mailing and not getting a response, as usual, I called their customer service line.

I spoke with an agent and they asked me to send pictures, and said they would be taking care of things, and they apologized for the ordeal.

My last phone call to them was to follow up about the email with the pictures, and this time a different person answered my call, and I was met with aggression and hostility.

They talked over me when I was trying to tell them the issues with the order. Their solution was that I should either: accept their tiny fraction of a refund of the order, and use that to repair the table, or "go to the store and buy some nail polish and pain over the chips in the paint". They told me they would never accommodate my request for the refund, nor would they make an exception on an item received incomplete or merchandise that arrived damaged, as it was not their policy. They said that for them to consider accepting any refund, I would need to have the original shipping box and the packings.

They stated that the shipping costs them 200$ + and that it would be a loss to refund me and pay for shipping.

I told them I would have no choice but to file a complaint with the BBB since they were unwilling to resolve this issue. Their response to that? They said: great, I hope you do that, I look forward to it.

It was like a bad SNL skit.

The solution was simple: make the things right, and issue a refund. Instead, they were belligerent and offensive.

I never imagined such appalling customer service existed. As it turns out their customer service is worse than the quality of their items.

i was just about to pull the trigger on barcelona set...and since this thing comes, like me' from the "garden state" i figured i'd check reviews---first! i sincerely appreciate the warning i have found here.

i have resolved that the only way id buy anything from these chuckleheads is to go in person with my truck and cash and carry.

I cannot believe they have the guts to respond to customers as you indicate--but probably shouldn't be. I used to teach school in NJ and it was basically the waiting room for future organ donors as they had no other purpose.

Very happy with this table. Its sturdy enough (has some wiggle to it). Dont be too concerned about the reviews stating how hard it was to assemble, as long as you attach the crossbars to the table first (table upside down) the rest goes on very easily.

Have not received my product no one answering phone nor answering email

I ordered a table online recieved an email stating it would take 2 weeks to recieve take. That after it said 2to 5days.

2weeks have come and gone, no one answering phone nor email now I have to go through my card to report scam etc. It best to stick with companies you know.
