Question regarding moderna covid vaccine

AI Highlights
  • - Harvard-MIT paper notes modified mRNA may persist beyond 1–3 days.
  • - It mentions RNA-to-DNA reverse transcription and possible genome integration.

I just read a paper written by Harvard- MIT researchers on the possible effects of synthetic MRNA that is chemically modified as the scientist in the article had mentioned and that it can "hang out" longer than what scientist have originally said which was that the spike protein is only expressed for a short amount of time...(1-3 days).

The reason a novice like me on this bio-science is asking is because the paper I read raised some red flags and literally frightened me.

The article talks about reverse transcription and implies that DNA to mRNA isn't always a one way street. Enzymes called reverse transcriptase's can also convert RNA into DNA allowing the latter to be integrated into DNA in the cell nucleus.

So my question is if this RNA is expressing a viral protein then in effect your immune response will attack your organs because now your cells are part of that new DNA with a viral component.

What I basically need is some information from Moderna explaining this in more detail so other research on the subject can alleviate my fears on this..

I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

John J. Mastro

Preferred solution: Need more of an explanation of how vaccine works based on an article from Harvard MIT

  • - A hematoma has persisted for 10 days and is slowly improving.

After my 1st dose of Modema vaccine a lot of pain at the injection site ok thats normal. But what concerns me is the Hematoema Ive had now for 10 days. It is slowly going away but the fact is that it showed up in the first place.

Warn General Public

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - The first shot caused a sore arm for a few days.
  • - The second Moderna shot caused high fever, chills, dizziness, and weakness for days.

When I got my first Covid shot. I had a sore arm for a few days, after that all was good.

After 30 days had past it was time for me to get my second shot. That shot made me so sick I did not think I was going to make it through the night. I took the shot at 11am that day, by 9 pm that evening I had a high fever 102 and then chills, dizzziness and no appetite. I was at the point that I was about to past out.

I took some Tylenol it helped with the fever a little. I had to use several blankets and a heating pad to try and get warm. I had goose bumps all over my body.

That morning I took another Tylenol and by noon I felt a little better but I was very weak for several more days. So just heads up the second (Moderna ) vaccine may give you a good butt spanking.

User's recommendation: Take something for a fever as SOON as you get your second shot
