Took the classes, went to cmtc... it's a scam

yea there's no doubt in my mind it's a scam. I took these classes way back in 2011 and was in denial until now that it was a scam.

I wanted to work as an end result but their focus isn't on that really. My poor mom spent probably close to 5k on everything. When it comes to photoshoots my mom had to pay I think it was $500 up front, but when it was time to come in for the actual shoot they said that I had to pay an extra $120 for the actual pictures to be printed! I only had 4 pictures printed and it was $120!!!

The pictures were horribly photoshopped, they made my nose look tiny but it didn't look human. I will say though, I thought the classes were good for confidence building, especially for young teenagers. I learned quite a bit from the classes but whenever money came up the prices were through the roof!!!

I also one time looked up if Mode Elle was a scam online and this one girl had written her honest truth, the owner of the company wrote this HUGE reply back to her saying "how dare you" etc etc. The reply was probably the size of a small novel.

When you're writing replies back like that, it starts to make you look guilty.. just saying.

-A family with literally no money.

If you research, real models do have to pay for classes or expensive photos. Naomi Campbell was discovered just walking down the street by a passing photographer.

Cindy Crawford was discovered when a photographer driving by saw her working in a cornfield.

Today's models primarily have gotten rich and famous based on who their famous parents are, i.e. Ireland Baldwin, Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Haddid, Kaia Gerber, etc etc.

Total money grab and SCAM!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This is a fake ‘agency’. Have had them admit this fact in an email.

Still have that email.

They consider it ‘lessons’ and ‘for fun’ but there are people who will lose thousands without realizing. Do not do business with this fake agency!

Did you need an exit agreement to get out of this agency? We have been with mode elle for a year without one audition.

They are are terrible to get back to you even in email. I don't want to admit it but have to start being honest with myself this agency is not what it seems........

Do not use this agency. We spend over $3000 with this agent, they talk the talk and give out great promises but its all fake.

My kids attended her classes which were a complete waste of money. We have now joined agencies in Toronto for very small start up fees $175 and my children now get work most weeks.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SCAM AGENCY - IT SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!

What is the name of the agency in Toronto that charges $175? It's very hard to find a legitimate modeling agency in Canada. Have just got referred to Mode-Elle and the reviews aren't good.

Versa Jim

Ripped off and Scam!

Scam! Mode Elle is not an agency it is a school.

She uses the agency as a face to suck you into taking classes to represent you! After you pay for courses, you need to get a headshots yes they don't accept any headshots you might have. They need to be proffesional. They promote every week different photographer you go into there office- school- agency to take the photos yes that's $500.

You don't get those pictures, nor see them they pick two shots and print and give them to you you don't like well too bad! Well now representing fee $ and to be on the website another fee$ and they can create actors access account another $ but what they don't tell you is they pay one time fee to add 300 models once but charge every single one a full fee $. After that oh shots are no longer good we no longer use them so need to take new once $ . Now acting workshop another $....

Oh cmtc is coming up you will get exposure from sign up $.... Oh yeah she does not tell you all agents are from the United States do not take Canadians because to work in the States you need a working permit the green card without that can't work in the States but impossible to get and when you get approached by American agent interested they ask of you to talk to your agent to do the papers for you and send it to them Mode Elle response was sorry we don't do that you have to do it yourself. But she owns cmtc she is your agent she signed you up for this and when business time knocked on your door sorry no can do! Why?

She says I don't do that because you need a green card to work in the States but the agent says I am interested in you get your agent to send me the papers and I will make you a letter you can use for applying for the green card and my agent says no. It's your agents responsibility when an agency requests you that she sends you in but she is not an agency, She don't care! she cared about your money for signing up! That's it!

She was shocked she never had that happen and if you leave to the United States your bank account goes with you and you may never come back. As she has no right too represent you in the United States! So no commission! Don't waste your time and money!

I wish someone will send in a hidden camera with a new client and record this agency/ school and prove to the world this is a scam! So I paid over $6000.00 No auditions, no jobs. But calls me for signing up for workshops. She has received such a bad reputation on her business name that she had to creat a second one to use she goes by Anderson Talent.

You go in with positive attitude and hope and believe in your agent will work for you. Well not this one it is not an agent it is a school and the longer she holds on to you the more money she is sucking out of you! Business is business. So I left and went for another agency got a contract, first audition landed me a role in a movie I had the opportunity to try that I never had with mode Elle.

Oh big surprise is to come new agent refused the headshot! We don't use those type of pictures in this industry. Even I had taken 4 pictures and paid a $1000 for not accepted go home take a picture without cellphone and send it to me I did she used it and got me the role in a week time. I wasted three years of my life with mode Elle!

And over $6000. And got nothing! Don't believe go for it and try yourself! Just be prepared to pay $6000 in three years!

And let us all know how it all works out for you! I'll be waiting. I waited and was very patient! Now you are next victim or save yourself all that money and try a real agency!

Not a school! That's why she is scouting new faces!

New face =$$$ Modeling Course fee$ Photoshoot fee$ Representation fee$ Website fee$ Other site fee$ Workshop fee$ Cmtc fee$ Hotel fee $ More workshop fees to prepare for cmtc so it's called cmtc worshop so fee$ So that is $5000.00 Go ahead now you know whats coming take yourself and call and book a time and ask the costs of all the musts lol.. Good luck Oh please take a hidden camera with you!

Mode Elle Model & Talent Phony Agency IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM!

Updated by user Jan 02, 2014

Mode Elle Incorporated is not what they appear to be.

Original review Jul 11, 2013

I have spent over $5,000 with this agency. I am totally dissatisfied even shocked that I have not received my money's worth. My experience with Mode Elle made me realize that Audra uses high pressure sales tactics to convince people to pay out money upfront without anything very promising in return. This especially applies to the Canadian Model and Talent Convention in which I didn't attend. This was because I had to pay around $2000 upfront even if I didn't attend with no refund whatsoever. I was told by e-mail that before attending this convention that it was an absolute requirement to sign a three year contract to stay with Mode Elle before being certain if I would get auditions.

If you are with a reputable agency, they would get you work through other agencies without having to charge you any money up front like Mode Elle did. And there are definitely models and actresses there that will "make it big" but it's the ones that have been given false hopes, false promises, false dreams, and leave with broken hearts, and huge disappointment that make this agency wrong.

The stories of success that Audra promotes are mainly through her agency, Mode Elle and you have to ask yourself would they have been successful without this convention? Most likely yes. I trusted this woman after her sweet talking us into her agency, but the expenses never stopped, there was always a reason to spend more and more money.

First came the Professional Female Modelling, Acting and Self Enhancement course which cost $960.00 which is mandatory to take if you want to be represented by Mode Elle. There was also the website fee of over $160.00 and the Canadian Model and Talent Convention where Audra mentioned that only a select few would be chosen to go but it seemed that everyone that auditioned was going! What a money making scam. Every photoshoot also cost me over $400. I never got a call for any auditions, local fashion shows, or call backs where anything beneficial would happen for us. It was all about spending money with this woman. After doing a bit of research is when I found out how big of a scam Mode Elle really was. What a shame I didn't find out until it was too late; I had already paid the majority of the fees for the Canadian Model and Talent Convention, and if I hadn't paid the remainder fees a collection agency would have been sent after me. I felt pressured by Mode Elle's high pressure sales tactics to pay the remaining $650.00 after I had paid my first installment of $478.00. This money I spent had drained me of my finances even further.

Clients that need models, look else where. Ninety percent of the girls Mode Elle represents are not even eligible to be modelling; they are just chosen because Audra can make money off of them and they get lucky even if they make it to the modelling management division. Most likely for 90% of these girls this will never happen.

My advice: Stay far away from Mode Elle Model and Talent Agency, and the Canadian Model and Talent Convention! Audra Anderson is the owner of Mode Elle, and the President of CMTC! There are much better ways for you to get discovered; Mode Elle and CMTC is not the way to launch your career!

This site is a scam, DO NOT ORDER from them. The clothes do not look anything like on the website.

Yep same here! That’s her business strategy!

I didn't listen either but I soon learnt. My kids now have successful careers with Toronto agencies. I wish there was someone official to complain to to get this organisation closed down.

This is all true, every word, I have the exact same story, Scam. My daughter is on the mode elle walls but don't think for a second that they did anything EVER to get her work.

If you make the mistake of signing the mode elle contract Audra Anderson will make money whenever your daughter's very hard working agent gets her a job. Then she likes to put it on her wall or on her website and take credit as if she had something to do with it.
