Verified ReviewerCompletely Dissatisfied
- - Dissatisfied with Orlando location.
- - Shown an 8-year hand control model still on display.
- - Not informed this model would not be installed.
Extremely dissatisfied with the Orlando location. We were shown and tried a model of hand control that is now 8 years old yet still on display.
We weren't informed this model was not what would be installed in our car. Now we are left with hand controls that don't work for the disabled driver. The owner of this location's only advice was to take them out and have the disabled driver have her mother drive her around for the rest of her life. How is this giving someone with a disability their independence back?
This is not even to mention the extremely rude demeanor of the service manager who attempted to convince us the hand controls were fine and that we were creating an issue over nothing. No kind of concern or care was shown for this issue by any of the staff here except Manny.
- Poor customer service
- Unprofessional

Verified ReviewerThe managers refused to listen and refused to fix the problem
- - Bracket too far back; stabilizer can't reach anti-tipper.
- - Wheelchair fell forward on braking; I was injured.
- - Managers refused to fix the problem.
The technician messed up with the installation. He installed the bracket too far to the back of the wheelchair that's why the stabilizer couldn't reach the anti-tipper.
When my wife stepped on brake, the whole wheelchair fell forward. My left knee banged the front console, and my forehead banged on the dashboard. The managers refused to listen and refused to fix the problem. She hang up on me when I explained the problem to her.
Spend your money somewhere else and definitely stay away from Ms. Tammy, Ms.
Janet and Steve because they have no integrity, no customer service skills and very unprofessional. They are definitely ruining the reputation of Mobility Works.

Verified ReviewerYour buy back policy
- - Bertha Stanger bought van in January with buy-back promise.
- - Company no longer buys back vans; Max died March 15, 2023; office notified March 17.
Purchased van in January with understanding you would buy back van if we no longer needed it. Only reason we purchased van was because of this promise.
Husband died and I no longer need the van,
I now am told you are not buying back vans. My husband was a disabled veteran and 87 years old.
I am 82 years old and will lose is disability from the V.A. What can you do to help me.
Bertha Stanger.
Max Died March 15, 2023 and your office was notified on March 17, 2023.
Terrible Experience
- - Treated my sister badly.
- - Van had battery issues blamed on her not driving it enough.
- - Saleswoman's communication and follow-through were poor.
Treated my sis terribly. Van continued to have battery issues and they blamed it on my sister not driving it enough.
Did they nention this when she bought it? Nope.
Happy to take her money though. Always excuses and the Saleswoman there has THE worst communication and follow thru skills.

Verified ReviewerPoor Treatment and Unprofessional
- - Recalls not addressed before selling the Ram ProMaster at the Orlando location; $390 for door repair, later a $2,500 estimate; staff described rude.
I would never recommend this business and definitely not this location. I was mishandled at a different location and then sent to the Orlando location to fix my issues (joke).
I ended up buying a Ram Promaster and from day one have had nothing but issues with this company and my van. They lied to my face and never handled the vehicle recalls before selling me the vehicle. Im now trying to get service on my automatic door and the staff is just beyond unprofessional. They charged me $390 for the door repair and two days later tell me its going to be an additional $2500 because the door is not repairable.
I assumed this company was my only option until google helped me find a new company today. The Service Manager (Dalvia) is RUDE!! BEYOND RUDE!!! She has no problem speaking over you and raising her voice and then never answers the phone.
She picks up and hangs up on a consistent basis (caller id). The management does nothing about this and allows this rude behavior to continue like theyre doing cash paying clients a favor and not over charging for this work. The rental car Personal is also RUDE!! She does not answer the phone and when she does she speaks with a condescending attitude.
This will not be my only poor review of this rude incompetent business because no one deserves to be treated like this as a paying customer. I will found any outlet to express my issues in hopes I save one client from this frustration.
Companies like this are getting to big for their own britches and feel like they can treat disabled clients any way they want. THINK AGAIN!!
- Work on wheelchair vans
- Overpriced
- Dont return calls

I been trying to get Mobility Works La Mesa ca to fix my vehicle for months. They take it several times and do just poor jobs they can't get my stop / start system to work they going and put In a
- - Stop/start system still fails after service.
- - Unauthorized mute switch installed; beeping persists.
- - Poor communication; no follow-up calls.
They can't fix the problem with my stop/ start system they keeping on trying but still it dont work they keep on Jerry rig it to work when they return but it when back to the same problem a day or two late now they go and put it a mute switch to stop the beeping noise which I didn't authorized and it still saying the same thing. They just keep on doing band Dale work.
Not only that, but they said they will call you back, but they never did and when you call they hide from you. I have been buying vehicle from them before they take it over and since Mobility Works take over they are suck a bad service and full of it.
I am going tolet the VA knows what is up and that will not be going to get another vehicle from this is after I purchase 5 from very two years I get to change it. La Mesa Mobility Works is a joke.

Glorified thieves
This company robbed my husband of not just his adaptive automobile grant, they also robbed him of his 80,000 SHA grant. Vets go elsewhere!

Verified Reviewer |No help from this company
- - Purchased a used van from them.
- - Transmission failed after 13 months; Mobility Works won't help.
- - BBB complaints exist; I would not recommend.
My last contact was on sept of 2020. I received an offer to replace the van from Andy Faraone. That was the last time I have had any contact from this company.
BUYER BEWARE
Purchased a used van from this company. After 13 months the transmission is no good.
Mobility works refuses to help or even call me back. Go and check out all the complaints at the BBB. There are plenty of other companies out there.
I would recommend NOT doing business with this company. One would think that a company dealing with handicap people would be better than all the reviews suggest.
- Typical car dealership not out to help the consumer

Glorified thieves! Not only did they ripp my husband off of his adaptive automobile grant of 70,000, I discovered they are also involved in the SHA grants and somehow 84,000.00 went missing as well! Veterans steer clear!
I spoke with the manager, he was familiar with the problem, said he would call me back with a buy out quote. That was 3 weeks ago. I know things are difficult at this time for businesses and people in general, I will continue to try to make a trade or buy out with them, and I will keep u posted.

Verified Reviewer |Warning to others
- - We lost about 70,000 in a scam tied to a VA grant.
- - They charged 2,500 for taxes, asked to take my Subaru, and the VA reimbursement never occurred.
The company never showed me the original documents until I filed a dispute with BBB. The woman had an iPad and was reading things off to us, just told us where to sign.
After recently getting the docs., turns out there’s no warranty on the van, they can raise the price whenever the feel like it, and one page the font was so small I could barely read it. It’s just shocking that a company that does business regularly can get away with lying to veterans.
This company robbed my husband and I of 70,000! My husband was awarded a grant through the VA and it was supposed to be totally free.
When the woman came to visit she said we would have to pay 2,500 for taxes. We later discovered that was not true. Since we didnt have the 2,500 she suggested taking my 2018 Subaru, I got stuck with a 15,000 loan and she said the VA would reimburse us. That never happened, they got the money from the VA!
So, in essence, they got paid twice! Scam

That was your job, to bring an iPad that was working. That’s considered a felony to deceive elderly clients. And how is it you still have my car?
